This has been a great home for my mom who has dementia

My mother came to Canfield Care Manor the end of August. She had Alzheimer’s/Dementia. They claim they are skilled specialized care facility. Within a month she had hypoxia which is oxygen deprivation. And hospice had to come out on a Sunday to bring her back to life. This is days after me explaining to the Aide I hear her wheezing and talking gibberish. The aide ignored my sentiments and asked my mother if she needed her oxygen. Which should NEVER had been questioned in the first place. It was on her records that it MUST BE ON AT ALL TIMES. Not as needed!!!! This was the beginning of the end for my mother. Not to say she was “well”! But when they deprived her of oxygen it catapulted her Dementia and from there on in it was always something. The owner had words with Keith @ hospice saying she did not have hypoxia. He lives far away from this so called Care Manor. Doesn’t care about his residents. Has zero clue what’s going on there. And is all about the money. It’s been 3 weeks since my mom passed. He has never called to express his condolences. In the short time she was there. I believe 3 people died. I would never send a loved one to Canfield Care Manor. They don’t care!! To whom it may concern, I just read the review my sister Marcy Weisman wrote. Her review must be disputed by me because if I don’t speak up I fear the same scenario will happen with your loved ones. Bottom line here. If you are looking for a caring home. With skilled workers this is not it. Rhonda is not skilled she refused to give my mother oxygen which basically left her brain dead. The owner Satish could not care less. He lives 50 miles away. And hasn’t a clue what goes on there. My friend Lorrie Fink who made several visits with and without me can attest to every word I have written. Keith at Hospice got into an argument with the owner Satish because Satish claimed Rhonda did nothing wrong. Jaqueeta was called out on a Sunday and saved my mom’s life. Please feel free to contact me or Lorrie Fink for further information regarding this HORRIBLY RUN SO CALLED CARE MANOR. 1 STAR is too much for this home as well as the people who run it. As for Marcy Weisman’s review... I’ll just say consider the source. She left my mother penniless.Never visited. I had to get guardianship for my mother. She never appeared in court. When my mom’s money was gone so was she. Sincerely, Jan Fishman August 2019-December 2019 I was advised by Morc a government run agency who suggested I took videos at every visit. I taped most of my daily phone calls. So I have proof and more. Stay clear of this place.

My mom was at Canfield Manor in Farmington Hills, MI. While she was there I visited her almost everyday. I would come at all different hours of the day and sometime during the early evenings. I was always greeted with a warm smile from the aids especially Rhonda. The home was very clean and the aids couldn't do enough for my mom. 99% of the meals were home made and good. On the holidays the gals always made a special meal for all the residents. My sister Jan lives out of town , it isn't easy for her to visit. My mom was at Canfield the later part of last year, maybe Jan visited 3 times. Jan left a not so nice review regarding Canfield Manor. Since I was there most of the time Jan has no idea what the Manor did for my mom. Please disregard her review because it's just not accurate, she did not spend half the amount of time there as I did. It's a good home and the aids working are fine hard working ladies. If I had to do it all over again I would certainly pick Canfield Care Manor again. Marcy B. Weisman

I have a friend who lives there.They have taken very good care of her for about 9 yesrs .
