Joyful Senior Living

As a healthcare provider in long-term care for over 20 years, I am so happy to leave this 5-star review for Joyful Senior Living. I have visited both Joyful Senior Living homes and am so impressed with these facilities and what they do for their residents. The homes are a residential home in neighborhoods that can accommodate up to six residents each. The second location which recently opened in 2025 now allows for them to have a place for higher care and this is such a win for the patients and families of those who were at location #1 and can now stay with Joyful Senior Living by transferring to their higher-level location #2. The owners are wonderful Christian people that just pour their kindness into these patients. It's truly how I feel senior care should be.

My mother in law was in need of 24/7 care. Joyful Living is so convenient to where she was living..she felt like she was home. The other residents and caregivers are welcoming and friendly. The owners are professional and very caring. Our family is very pleased with our experience at Joyful Living. My Mother in Law is happy and well cared for and that was of utmost importance to me and my husband.

The adult care home that Joyful Senior Living has in Mooresville is truly wonderful. Modern, spacious, bright, and warm. The residents are engaged by staff in such a positive manner. Their outdoor back deck is also a wonderful space for the residents. I have worked in senior care in the Lake Norman area for 20 years, and Joyful Senior Living's leadership and caregivers are truly first rate.

Gino and Jessica, the local owners of Joyful Senior Living, have truly created a warm and caring home for their residents. They—and every member of their staff—are five-star in every sense. The level of care, communication, and compassion they provide is exceptional. If you’re reading this review, chances are you’re on the same path we were—searching for the right place for a loved one and learning just how difficult it is to find truly compassionate care. Our family’s search for assisted living for my 92-year-old mother with dementia was long, frustrating, and stressful. The larger facilities in our area simply were not the right fit. Then we discovered Joyful Senior Living, a residential group home with only 6 residents. And we feel so fortunate to have found them at just the right time. After a short adjustment period, my mom is now thriving—making new friends, enjoying home-cooked meals, playing games, and embracing every part of life at JSL. Transitioning from our home, after caring for her ourselves for eight years, was not easy. But Gino and Jessica have proven themselves worthy of our trust in every way. I could not be happier with our decision, and I am deeply grateful for the loving community they’ve built.

If my parents were living in Charlotte, NC, I would undoubtedly encourage them to consider Joyful Senior Living as their home. Jessica and Gino are such welcoming hosts who create an environment that feels less like a senior living facility and more like a community of friends sharing a beautiful home in Huntersville. During my visit, I brought the last 2 puppies from my Lucy's litter (Jack Russell Puppies) for the residents to enjoy, and I was warmly welcomed. It was heartwarming to see the joy and smiles as the seniors received plenty of puppy kisses. This level of care and attention to creating a warm, family-like atmosphere is something I would want for myself when I get older. I highly recommend Joyful Senior Living for anyone seeking a comfortable, caring, and home-like environment for their loved ones.
