Karolwood Gardens at Norfolk

Shannon is not in charge anymore. The place is in bad shape. The new boss is Linda which is terrible. most of the room are empty , bed buds everywhere. the whole 2 nd floor is shut down. Please don't put your loved ones there..

Karolwood Gardens has a welcoming, friendly staff. When I visit my friend’s mom, I can see that her individual needs are taken care of with care and compassion. Shannon, the director, goes above and beyond to see that her family members have any and all questions answered. Her vast knowledge and experience eases concerns as they arise. I recommend you visit Karolwood Gardens.

Karelwood Gardens, with its outstanding and compassionate staff, has been such a lifesaver for our family. Karolwood has given us such a sense of relief since we moved the matriarch of our family there. Their attentive, hands on approach to caring for the residents is what we truly appreciate. Shannon Fox, the building director, is the personification of compassion. I have personally witnessed her taking time out of her busy day to set aside whatever administrative task she might be working on to see to the needs of any resident. I highly recommend Karolwood to anyone needing a safe and secure place to reside.

A cousin of ours needed a place to reside after a stay in Rehab. We were able to connect with Greg Beaudin, Marketing Director of Karolwood (and all-around 'nice guy') who was an amazing representative and a tremendous help in providing residence for our cousin. He went above and beyond all expectations in his assistance with getting her room ready, identifying and helping move furniture in and setting everything up. It seems as if Karolwood has been recently renovated and is renewing itself in a very positive fashion. It is a very clean facility. The staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. When we have called for information or assistance, return calls were received very quickly and any action required was handled and confirmed to us in a very expeditious and professional manner. We would highly recommend the facility and would suggest, if you are looking for a residence for a senior relative, friend or yourself, that you consider Karolwood Gardens.

Yes! Heather was horrible, but I've not seen her and this is a good thing. I believe, if she IS still working there, she's working remotely. I have high marks for the Karolwood Gardens in Norfolk. The activity director, Bree, is an angel who keeps the residents alert with interesting and creative activities. The staff in memory care do care for the residents. Medication is given in a timely manner, and the director, Ms. Carter is pleasant and informative, keeping family members abreast of each resident. I've also spoken to the owner, and I believe he is an honest and caring man who tries to run the assisted living business in an honorable way. I highly recommend Karolwood. Dr. Linda Marcel, Ed.D.
