Kelley's Family Care Home

We are incredibly blessed to have our dear, little Mom in Kelley’s expert care at the beautiful High Holly home. Over the past year, Kelley and her staff have improved Mom’s comfort, sense of safety, and overall well-being. They possess critical dementia-care skills and knowledge. Both Kelley’s hands-on care and supervision are second to none, with so many considered aspects of care consistently administered with Mom’s best interest in mind. Kelley is experienced, communicative, thoughtful, organized, compassionate. Her passion for providing top tier care in balance with quality of life measures is so evident. Staff members are conscientious, caring, and lovely; always professional, kind, and tremendously personable with Mom. They create a warm, family atmosphere filled with conversation, laughter, music, home cooking, activities, and social/holiday events. The home is always clean and care tasks are executed with residents’ dignity in mind. We love spending time with Kelley, her staff, and Mom’s 5 housemates and family members. We are always welcomed into the home to visit Mom during this difficult time for our family. It is so hard for us not to be with Mom always, but the excellent 24/7 care she receives brings us comfort, and allows much needed room for us to take more care of ourselves. Just this past week, Kelley is helping guide Mom’s transition to hospice care and is working closely with the team to address her comfort needs. We shopped around in earnest. Kelley’s Family Care Home is without question the finest place we found. We feel so fortunate to have Mom there in her sweet, cheery room appointed with pretty antiques and daily sunshine. It is a special gift to make a difference in someone’s life, and Kelley Family Care Home has given our family that gift. My mom mom had dementia and lived at Kelley’s for the last four years of her life. The care she received was everything we could have hoped for and more. Kelley and her wonderful team showed patience, compassion, and genuine love through every stage of her journey. It could have been difficult for her and us, but we never had to worry; mom mom was comfortable, happy, and cared for like family. From daily support to doctor visits, hospital stays, and eventually hospice care, they were right beside us, not just for her, but for our family too. Not every assisted living home has this kind of heart. Kelley and her team are truly rare, and we will always be deeply grateful.

I highly recommend Kelley’s Family Care Home. A few years ago, it became apparent that my mom would not be able to continue living at home by herself. An extended family member had previously used Kelley’s services for their mother and had nothing but good things to say about them. The house itself is in a residential neighborhood and feels like a home. The number of residents is limited, so it is very different from a large nursing home or other institutional facility. Kelley is very hands-on and thorough. The staff interacts patiently, professionally, and sympathetically with each resident and is responsive to the needs of the residents and their families. It is obvious how much they care for their residents. Medical checks are regularly performed. Activities, such as games, crafts, and appropriate group exercise, are regularly scheduled. At the same time, the individual needs of the residents, based on their mobility, stamina, and cognitive ability, as may change from time to time, are taken into account. I live nearby and visit often, and have always been made welcome. Kelley and her staff make a difficult situation easier to deal with.

My mother has been cared for at the Wake Forest location for over a year now and has received excellent care. The staff is very kind and accommodating, providing 24/7 care, holiday celebrations, a sense of community, social engagement, and ease of access for loved ones. Accommodations are limited to 6 residents, with most having their own room and dementia care is great.

Words can not express our appreciation for Kelley and her wonderful staff. Kelley not only has gone above and beyond in providing top-notch care for my mother, but has also offered invaluable guidance and support to our family as we've navigated the many challenges of long term care and hospice services. Her staff is attentive and caring. They make sure the residents are clean and comfortable, and also engage them in fun activities throughout the day to keep them active. I am very grateful to Kelley and her staff for providing the compassionate and dignified care that my mom deserved.
