KINDREDHEARTS GREEN LAKE

My mom was living there until this past October when she passed away. I don't have any complaints about the CNA's other than for some reason the people quit their job there. So they were always "shorthanded". My complaint about this place is that I had spoken to the director of Kindred Hearts, asking her to please notify me when the end was coming because I didnt want my mom to pass away alone. The director said she would.Instead of being notified I had gotten a phone call from my daughter an hour after mom died. Of course I was very heart broken knowing that no one was there to be with mom. I then called the facility to find out at what time mom had passed and was told she passed at 8:23 a.m. I then told the facility that I'll be there to clean out moms room. That's when I was told that "no one is to enter". I asked to speak to the director and was informed that she is out of her office for the week. I felt at a loss and extremely upset that I wasn't thinking very clearly. My daughter was only the P.O.A. and that she has no authority. It wasn't till after my daughter cleaned out moms room that I understood as to why she did that. I should have contacted the director's supervisor to explain my daughter's position and to unlock the door. Mom's will was in her lock box and to make sure that I couldn't protest she took it as well as everything of importance. I blame the director for not questioning my daughters authority.

Both my parents are at this location. The staff is wonderful to them & all of us kids. My parents tell me all the time that they love it. They treat them like family. Us kids so not worry about them, we know they are in good handa!!
