Definitely not the best experience. I initially thought going in the because it was a small facility the level of care would be more intimate the experience would be more personable and above standard than at a larger corporate facility. Boy was I wrong I was not pleased with the level of care and or assistance my loved one received during their stay. The friendliness willingness to help and care by the staff was mediocre at best. In my experience it was always more about covering up and advocating for the staff versus advocating for and making sure the residents felt comfortable and adequately taken care of, in what in most cases is now their forever home. Cleanliness was questionable at times towards the end of our stay the quality of the food and portions were questionable. There were never any daily or weekly resident activities like pitched during the tour. There were many reasons we were not happy with the care so I wouldn’t personally recommend. I know a lot of the good facilities have a waiting list. I recommend waiting it out for the place thats going to be able to provide the best care if able too. I wish I had held out and just waited for a spot to open up versus having my love one be there miserable and having to deal with mediocre care for several months.

Kings Mountain Care Center has a home like environment and the food is excellent. The residents are taken care of like they are your mother and father. Residents are not only taken care of, but are respected as all elderly people deserve.

Jackie, Patty, Carol, Karen and several others cared for my Mom in 2019 and 2020. I am especially grateful for the care Mom received through Covid. The entire staff worked very hard to keep the whole group of residents safe, healthy and comfortable. It is difficult for a family to trust the care of a loved one to others; but the reality is, homes such as KM Care are diamonds in the rough. Staff is the most important thing to a family. Debbie and Archie are blessed to have good employees. Miss Jackie and Debbie Crocker visited Mom several times in the Hospice Testa house after she left KM Care. That lets you know they learn to love their residents, no matter how difficult dementia patients can be. I will forever be thankful.

The staff are not friendly with surrounding residents in the community.
