My mother lived there for 5 months in assisted living and 7 months in the Arbors(memory care). I live less than 10 minutes away and was there a lot. Kirkland has a feel of a cozy home/community. The staff is caring, responsive and very capable. There are a wide range of activities that are geared to the needs of residents. My own experience is that turnover was relatively low and the staff were able to oversee and handle the array and range of daily needs for their aging residents, whose needs frankly can change weekly or daily. I and my siblings feel blessed to be able to rely on the loving staff of Kirkland Crossings Pewaukee for the care of our dear mother in her last year. She was content and happy......not bad way to live the last year of life. Thank you Kirkland staff.

After researching many retirement communities, 4 years ago I chose Kirkland Crossings. You know home when you feel it!! My condo sold quickly, movers hired, then suddenly my apartment was no longer available! Thanks to Katie, her reassurance, clever problem solving and prayers, she took care of me. And so began my appreciation and respect for all the staff at KC! I’d like to say how blessed I am to be here! Not just my feelings! Look at us…we are truly a family…lots of laughter, prayers, patience, a few tears…everyone has a full life story to share! We take care of each other in so many ways that perhaps you only find, especially, in a faith based community. But the shining stars at KC are La Kalvin and his team of Directors. (It certainly wasn’t always this way.) Their focus is taking care of us, our happiness, wellbeing, and best ways to accomplish this. That requires their faith in making changes and additions to our lives here. As a result, we have noticed a relaxed, positive atmosphere in the last year or so, thanks to all of them. Megan, Katie, Allen and Scott have our best interests at heart behind the scenes. More directly involved are Andrea, Mary and Matt who keep us guessing “What are they up to now!” Each bring a spirituality to all that they do and say, how they interact with everyone. We feel the love. Each have touched me personally. I am truly blessed to have them in my life. God brings us together for a reason. Lynn

My 95-year-old mother, Betty Jane, has been an assisted living resident at Kirkland Crossings for over two years. It is no exaggeration when I say that all of their staff members put the welfare, care and safety of all the residents as their top priorities. The dedicated staff that I have come to know by their first names exhibit a genuine professionalism, warmth and kindness to my mother and her care. In the event of a health-related issue or concern, the staff is quick to reach out and contact me. Our family could not be more pleased with the environment at Kirkland Crossings - from the cleanliness of the facility to the landscaping of the grounds. There are many amenities available to the residents, some of which include religious services, laundry facilities, a beauty salon, and even a fitness center. They provide a monthly calendar of various social activities open to whomever cares to participate. Residents are given a menu listing the daily meal options for breakfast, lunch and dinner...and dessert! The kitchen staff deserves kudos for their delicious fare. I have witnessed first-hand all of the above because I am fortunate enough to be able to visit my mother several times a week, and these behaviors are their normal, high standard of care --- they are not faking it. I strongly recommend Kirkland Crossings for your loved one.

We recently needed to find a new home for my mother. It was a hurried situation and very stressful. She had been living at Avalon Square previously and we had always been very happy with the staff and the care she received there. Unfortunately they did not have an opening with the level of care needed. So we researched Kirkland Crossings because they are owned by the same parent company, hoping their care and culture would be similar. Everyone there has been wonderful and they have helped make our move very easy during a difficult time. The staff genuinely seem to care about the residents. Our move was very organized and all of the staff was very helpful. My mother is settling in to her new home. Thank you to everyone at Kirkland Crossings (especially Katie :)

Since 2014, I have come to know the residents and staff at Kirkland Crossings quite well. I performed companion care for two residents and was very impressed. They offer so many amenities and treat the residents with such care and respect. This past January, when my 93 year old father-in-law needed extra help, Kirkland Crossings was our first choice. Although it's been hard with the restrictions due to Covid 19, I know he is being well taken care of. I can contact the staff easily for any concerns and they are always helpful. I highly recommend Kirkland Crossings.
