Kokomo Place

The staff at Kokomo Place are incredibly caring, supportive, and kind. As they cared for my father during the last few months of his life, they were attentive, loving, and knowledgable. They also cared for us when we visited, and that support of our whole family made such a difference as we navigated a difficult time. We appreciate the whole staff of Kokomo Place and the supportive community they foster there.

Kokomo Place is excellent! They take terrific care of mom. They truly care about her. However OPSLiving staff is not good at responding to family questions or concerns. They also fail to notify you of some important changes, such as a new pharmacy. My experience so far with billing is terrible.

My father has dementia and we brought him to this home to help assist him for his medical needs. Our main reasoning for placing him here was the fact they had not had any covid cases. Now after just barely a week half the staff and patients are possitive. We tried to pull him out of there for several days but the staff gave us misleading information. He tested negative on Friday but we were not able to get him out until the following Wednesday. Now he tests positive and is high risk. The lack of information provided to us and the lack of communication between the staff is terrible. I understand they are very short staffed because of the covid but they really should have had some kind of contengincy plan. These are people's lives! We will not return our father here nor recommend.
