I recently visited my friend who has been in the Severna Park facility for a few months now. I’ve heard her complaints but now that i got to see it for myself, I am appalled that anyone would place their loves one in this facility. Just in the 2 hours I was there I saw so many issues. The facility is filthy. Both sinks in my friends unit are clogged and have been since day one. Despite numerous attempts by maintenance the sinks are still clogged. The toilet seat in her unit is broken. Maintenance has been aware for a while. The “workout” facility which is a joke has mold on the ceiling. The swimming pool is not useable and has an oily film on the top. The chef hasn’t been showing up so meals have been made by the manager or they bring sandwiches in which aren’t the amount of the meal plan cost. The meals are high fat meals with little nutritional value. My friend has not been able to get a key to her own unit. When she comes and goes she must leave her door unlocked. Management is aware. Still no key. She was never provided a key. There’s no transparency. My friend has been trying to get a hold of her lease and bills and there’s always excuses why she can’t see them. The grounds are not well maintained and the shrubbery is way overgrown. This facility has NO outings and very few activities for residents. Lastly, the manager is spread too thin and cannot effectively communicate or complete tasks that are important to the well being and mental state of the residents. Lots of run around. I’m not sure how the health dept is allowing this facility to pass its certification and remain in operation. I will be taking this to a higher level. At least i can be the voice of those who don’t have much of a say.

This facility is by far the best facility I have been to. All staff truly care about their residents and provide the best care. I've never seen staff that treat residents as if they were family, but her they do! Take a tour and meet the staff. They're fascinating!

My great aunt is a resident here and I hate her being there. They barely changed her or got her out of bed. Several times we had to argue with the kitchen staff for her to be fed. She has fallen has had bruises and no one contacted any of us. She has gotten sores from lack of care and her not being changed for hours. I recently spoke with the head manager Natalie and she was very rude and inconsiderate about my great aunt needs. What type of head manager of the facility talks or acts as if she doesn't care or hiring workers that are just there for a check. Not only that when the light goes out roaches are everywhere. We are currently looking up other facilities to have my aunt taken there. Oh more thing the only employee that really cares for the residents is Joahna I believe that's her name I watched her comfort new residents making them feel at home greeting them at the door and going out of her way to make them feel at home. They need to give her a raise.

Mom has been here for 3 weeks now & loves it. She loves the food, her room & the care she gets. I was so worried when I had to make the decision not to bring mom home, but she is thriving, mentally & physically. Everyone in the family believes that this has been a godsend. Did I mention the awesome waterfront view from her room.

My mother has stayed at the Severna Park location for 8 months now, I was a little nervous at first having my mother move out of my care. But my mother has nothing but great things to say about this facility. Her room is exceptionally clean and she love's the staff here, special shout out to Tracey. Kris Leigh has made this transition easy for me and my mother. Thank You Vincent
