LA CASA VERDE

I would NOT recommend La Casa Verde in Walnut Creek based on my family’s experience. My grandfather stayed there for about two weeks, and the owner Flor who is also one of the caregivers was extremely rude and unprofessional when I tried to ask questions about his care. As a family member advocating for my grandfather, I expected basic communication and compassion, but instead I was met with hostility. During one visit, I noticed a scratch on my grandfather. When I asked about it, the owner said she didn’t know how it happened. My grandfather told me that she had been rough with him. While I cannot say the scratch was intentional, it was concerning that it had not been properly addressed or communicated to me. The overall experience made me feel that my grandfather was not being treated with the level of care, patience, and respect that elderly residents deserve. Because of these issues, we removed him from the facility after only two weeks. Families place a lot of trust in caregivers when they leave loved ones in their care. Unfortunately, our experience here did not meet those expectations.

The owner (Flor) at the same time the care giver of this facility is unprofessional, extremely rude. This facility deserves even no 1 star. Attitude wise of the owner?? Extremely poor! No wonder why no care givers can work with her in a long period of time due of her attitude. Think many times guys before putting your patient in this facility..

Think twice about putting your loved one into this elderly care facility. The proprietor is just outright nasty in dealing with the extended family of its patients. If she has no capability of compassion and tender loving care for those related to their patients, how much different can she be to the people she takes care of? Just Awful and the tone of her voice and spitefulness shows what character she has. I cannot review a facility any lower than one but they deserve a NEGATIVE STAR! Beware!!!

Amazing owners amazing house my mother is getting top notch care and I am so greatfull!!

La Casa Verde is a Board & Care Home and Assisted Living facility for the elderly. Flor and June are the owners, operators, and they are also the caregivers. They live in the house. This is one of the main reasons I chose this Home. I felt they were vested in their business by also providing the care-giving. They have been running this place since the mid-90’s. The level of care and compassion they provided my Mom was excellent. There were only two other patients/residents living there when my Mother was there. My Mom was there from October until June under the care of Hospice. Up until the end, Flor and June attended to my Mom’s needs and adjusted the care as her condition slowly changed over the months. My Mom became part of the house-family as much as June and Flor became part of ours. I feel so grateful and fortunate to have found La Casa Verde.
