I travel often for work and spend time at numerous senior living communities across California and La Costa Glen deserves 5 + stars! The warmest welcomes and the camaraderie at the community is real. I love how everyone calls each other by name and stops to really visit with one another regardless if they are a resident or staff member. The community is also gorgeous! The grounds are beautiful, the open spaces are inviting and the culture at La Costa Glen always encourages you to stay a little longer..a true California gem!

I recently moved into La Costa Glen, and I truly couldn’t be happier with my decision. Moving at this stage of life can feel overwhelming, but from day one I felt welcomed and at ease. The people here—both residents and staff—are genuinely kind, friendly, and helpful. Everyone says hello, and it didn’t take long to feel like I belonged. The campus is beautiful and very well cared for, and there is always something going on if you want to stay busy. I’ve enjoyed the activities, the dining options, and simply being around such interesting, active people. At the same time, it’s easy to slow down and enjoy some peace and quiet when you want that too. What really stands out to me is the staff. They are patient, attentive, and truly seem to care about the residents. Any questions I’ve had have been answered with kindness and respect, which means a lot. Most of all, I feel comfortable and secure here. La Costa Glen feels like home, and I’m excited about this next chapter of my life. If you’re considering a move, I would absolutely recommend taking a look—you may find, like I did, that it’s exactly where you’re meant to be.

As a married woman with two kids, and a full time career, helping a parent transition into senior living is an emotional and often overwhelming experience. When my mother moved into La Costa Glen, I wasn't just looking for a place that looked nice--I wanted a community where she would feel respected, independent, safe, and genuinely happy. We looked at Carlsbad by the Sea, the Meridian San Marcos and Santianna by Oakmont. We landed on La Costa Glen. From the very beginning, La Costa Glen exceeded our expectations. The campus is beautifully maintained and feels more like a vibrant neighborhood than a "facility." What stood out most, though, was the staff. Every person we interacted with--from the sales team to the dining and activities staff, and the executive director - are patient, professional, and truly kind. They took the time to get to know my mom as a person, not just a resident, which gave our family tremendous peace of mind. My mother has settled in wonderfully. She has access to a wide variety of activities, social opportunities, and amenities. It's clear that residents are encouraged to live full, engaged lives, and the community has a positive, energetic atmosphere. Many residents in their 80s and 90s along with 70s, for which my mom is 76. As someone who lives nearby and visits often, I can confidently say that La Costa Glen feels like a place where seniors are valued and supported, not managed. Knowing my mother is in a community where she is thriving has been an enormous relief for our entire family. I would highly recommend La Costa Glen to other families who are navigating this transition and want a place that truly cares about its residents.

This community is by far the most impressive I have ever seen. The dining operation is world class I recently ate there with my Dad and I felt like I was eating at a 5 star restaurant. Friendly service and great food? Amazing! Any time I am here my Dad and I swing by the speakeasy to pick up a bottle of his favorite wine. Somehow they sell name brand bottles that are usually very expensive for barely anything. I also always need to challenge him to a putting challenge like I did growing up! He still somehow whoops me on the green. They not only have a putting green but a mid sized course on the north side of the property. I think the best compliment I could give this place is that my Dad doesn't call me as much as he used to because he is always doing something! Either he is somewhere on property participating in clubs and activities or he is off property with his friends at a local golf course down at the beach or just exploring the beautiful Carlsbad/ Encinitas area. Thank you La Costa Glen!

La Costa Glen truly lives up to its reputation as a resort-style retirement community. From the moment you arrive, the campus feels welcoming, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed to support an active, worry-free lifestyle. The location in Carlsbad is stunning, peaceful, coastal, and surrounded by natural beauty. What really sets La Costa Glen apart is the full continuum of care all on one campus. Knowing that independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing are available as needs change provides incredible peace of mind for residents and their families. The amenities are top-notch, from the fitness center and pools to the dining options and social spaces, all encouraging connection, wellness, and engagement. The staff are professional, attentive, and genuinely caring, and it’s clear they take pride in creating a community—not just a place to live. Everything from maintenance to dining feels seamless and well-run. If you’re looking for a luxury retirement community that combines comfort, care, and an active lifestyle in a beautiful coastal setting, La Costa Glen is an outstanding choice. Highly recommended.
