La Paz Assisted Living and the on-site operator/owner Cate, came highly recommended by my fathers health care advocate. The care and support provided to my elderly father during his stay as he received cancer treatment was immeasurably valuable. La Paz is a homey, clean, spacious, professional and responsibly managed space, located in an appealing tree lined neighborhood in Tuscon, just a few blocks from numerous restaurants, retail locations, hotels and a large park. Cate and her staff are competent, thorough, considerate and kind. The other residents while I was there were relaxed and happy. During my fathers first stay over the winter, he raved about the good homemade meals customized for his dietary needs, praised Cate, and clearly felt safe and cared for with her and her staff. When the time came for my father to hospice, he requested going back to Cate’s saying, “Cate will know what to do.” Cate took my father in on very short notice and provided such a peaceful and supportive space for his final days with us. Anyone considering La Paz will no doubt find it to be an appealing, safe and supportive environment to obtain care. I give it my highest recommendation.
