I cannot begin to express how appreciative we are of the owners and staff of Lake Hendon Estate Assisted Living Facility. From the first moment of contact to the present, we have found everyone to be professional, knowledgeable, caring and kind. Due to a sudden medical crisis on Dec. 25, 2017, Lake Hendon Estate became my parents' new home on Jan. 2, 2018. Although they were initially frightened and confused with their sudden change of residence, Catherine and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that they felt at home. Catherine spent many hours holding my mother's hand while talking to her about life as she slowly but surely adapted to the new environment. Sadly my father passed away less than 3 months after Lake Hendon became his final home but he had many pleasurable moments while engaged in conversation with the other residents and staff over delicious meals, birthday and holiday celebrations, and activities of daily living. Since his passing, my mother continues to insist that this is where she wishes to remain until she joins my father. I have no doubt that she has made the best decision for herself. It goes without saying that the facility is a beautifully appointed home in a picturesque lakefront setting which offers up to 5-7 residents individual state of the art suites. Residents enjoy delicious meals at the "family" table and when the weather is agreeable there is an outdoor kitchen with a fireplace for residents to enjoy parties while overlooking the lake, pool and spa. The staff is very attentive to each and every resident because the number of residents is limited. Each resident has his/her own suite but this is a home and it functions as such. I could go on forever, but what I would like to say is that at the most difficult time in my parents' lives and at a time when my family had to make difficult and at times heartbreaking decisions, Catherine, Anthony, Nancy and their staff were supportive, kind and caring to my parents and our family every step of the way. They continue to go above and beyond and we will be eternally grateful. I highly recommend Lake Hendon Estate ALF to anyone who wishes to have their loved ones live their final days with dignity and surrounded by loving caregivers.

Wow. It can be overwhelming. When the time came that mom could no longer live alone , I began my search for a place that I felt I could trust with her life. My search covered 3 counties and several "facilities ". All I knew about assisted living facilities was what I've heard in news stories. Always horror stories. Some were high tech, some were sanitary white, but mostly all were big facilities. Mom needed a home , not a facility. Then a friend mentioned Lake Hendon estate . What a find. Mom was the first resident to move in after they opened for business. She spent the last 9 months of her life living comfortably at home in lake hendon. She was safe there , her care was awesome and she was happy to be home, her new home at lake hendon. Mom went to be with the Lord on December 30th and we miss her terribly

What a great facility and staff. My 96 year old mother just moved here 1-1/2 months ago from a much larger facility where she lived for a year. The difference is incredible. The first impression is excellent due to the great location and beautiful building. However, the care the residents receive far surpasses the physical setting. Catherine and her staff give a great deal of individual attention to the residents and treat them like family. I can appreciate the level of care because my mother was just one of many residents at her previous large assisted living facility and did not get the attention she receives here. She is happier and I feel she is also safer because the staff can monitor the smaller number of residents much better. I would strongly recommend any seniors to consider living at Lake Hendon Estate ALF.

This is where I want to go when I’m a senior citizen! A tour of this place reveals that a lot of thought was put into making sure that the seniors are well cared for and comfortable. Great activities. Just attended tea and live music. The owners are very welcoming and involved.
