I'm a shower add I've been coming here for five years. The staff and owner is amazing. If my own family ever had to go into a facility this is the one I'd choose and I've been doing this for thirty years.

In 2019, we brought my grandmother to Lakehouse on Dixie, and from the very beginning it felt like a true home rather than a facility. It is incredibly family-oriented, and we were so grateful for the loving, compassionate care she received. In 2023, we returned with my grandfather, and once again our experience exceeded expectations. The caregivers are kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, and Sarita, the owner, goes above and beyond to create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for both residents and their families. The atmosphere is peaceful, comforting, and filled with compassion. Our family had a wonderful experience both times, and we wholeheartedly recommend Lakehouse on Dixie to anyone searching for a safe, loving home for their loved one.

I was recommended this place through assisted-living pros where my mother was assessed by one of their representatives. I then met with Sarita who runs the house I was fully transparent with upfront on how my mother and her behaviors were. She has dementia a broken leg and his bedbound. Her dementia behaviors are verbal. She screams in pain and sometimes hallucinates and verbalizes by screaming. She was not given a chance to be or get calm or get the meds to help her get calm. On the second Day of living in the house, I received a call, but she was no longer able able to live in the home that she was disrupting her home! I paid Sarita $1600 community fee which was nonrefundable But I also paid her $1589.09 for two weeks left of Januarybut also had hospice equipment in her room which my mother lived there for 4 1/2 days and Sarita charged me for the days Until hospice picked up their furniture. The furniture was in there where I have no control over and they could not get the furniture out due to the freeze supposedly Houston was having.. she refunded half of the community fee Oh, she’s so kind lol. In which she should have refunded the entire community fee, she did not live there long enough to be have to pay for anything in the community home. But then charge me for furniture sitting there for three days that out of my control sitting in the room, that no one else was occupying. So if you’re looking for a home with compassion and care for your loved one, this is probably not a place for you if your loved one has any kind of aches and pains and are loud. The house manager liked it quiet and no one making any noise no compassion in my experience! Dementia is a horrible disease. Hopefully, they have learned something from this experience. I sure did.!

I am so thankful for the owner and the staff at the Lakehouse on Dixie. The Lakehouse has been a wonderful day place for my father. He is genuinely cared for and I appreciate all the love and support they have given my family!!

Sarita and her staff at the Lakehouse have been simply outstanding in caring for my 85 year old mom. And very patient and supportive with her husband, who is there every day. He regularly describes the excellent care she gets. She is seriously disabled and needs help with everything. Sarita even sends pictures of her participating in activities, as much as my mom is able. I live several hundred miles away, and finding a place at the Lakehouse for my mom is a godsend!
