I’ve had a bit of experience with Independent and Assisted Living facilities in the last 6 months, as we looked for a place for my step-mom after my dad passed. Then my 81 mother had to have surgery right before Thanksgiving, where she then lived with my family for a few weeks while recovering. It was during that time that she came to the conclusion that she should not go back to her 3 story house, and that is where The Lakeshore came into our lives. After visiting other homes with my step-mom I was immediately in love with The Lakeshore. First, everyone is incredibly kind and welcoming, which is a must to help facilitate a life changing move for your loved one. The apartments are so sweet and the shared spaces are cozy and comforting. The amount of activities offered is also a huge plus. All of it really made the move so easy for my mom and made us kids feel that she was going to be well taken care of. We highly recommend, 10/10 from our family.

The Lakeshore is the place to be. It was difficult getting my 93-year old mother to leave her home after 70+ years in the same house. She was adamantly against moving into a facility. Once we were able to get mom to give The Lakeshore a chance, she found a beautiful and diverse living community with wall-to wall art, friendly residents, professional staff, and a welcoming feel. The place is absolutely beautiful with lake views, neighboring eagles and pristine outdoor common areas. Mom marvels over the food in a dining room that resembles a high-end restaurant. The menu has an impressive variety that includes weekly specials and multi-ethnic cuisine. We are surprised at how well mom has acclimated to her new living arrangement. The maintenance folks are always friendly and willing to help with tasks that Mom needs done. The front desk staff is welcoming and attentive at all times. We appreciate how the staff knows everybody by name and converses with them in a way that shows they personally know each resident. Knowing that my mother is living amongst wonderful people, residents as well as staff, brings so much joy and comfort to our family. We are impressed with the fellow residents who are ambassadors. They check on Mom and include her in activities. They are all very welcoming to their peers, as well as the family members, and friends who visit. The events and activities that are held at the Lakeshore keep folks as busy as they want to be, or they can just enjoy quiet time in the library, activity room, or areas to just sit and relax. My husband and I have already decided that we will be moving to The Lakeshore when we are ready to transition from our home.

We could not be happier with The Lakeshore and their staff! My mother-in-law recently moved in after she fell in love with a cute apartment. From the very beginning, the staff has been very welcoming, warm, friendly and professional. Everyone from the director to maintenance to reception to food service to community coordinators to shuttle drivers have made this transition the best it could be!! She feels very cared for and we rest knowing she is in good hands. Would highly recommend the Lakeshore.
