The clinical and kitchen staff were amazing, however the office staff wanted nothing to do with our family when my dad was dying and when he passed they ignored my mom and did not act like they cared after his passing. Is it all about money and getting someone in to take the room?

Lake View Terrace Assisted Living in Lakeview, Michigan has been a true blessing for our family. My mother has lived there for some time now, and I can honestly say the care and compassion she receives is second to none. The staff is absolutely wonderful — attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in the well-being of every resident. They treat my mother with dignity and warmth, and it’s clear they take pride in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Whether it’s helping with daily routines, organizing engaging activities, or simply sharing a friendly smile, they go above and beyond every day. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to feel like home. Communication with families is excellent, and I always feel informed and reassured. If you're looking for a place where your loved one will be cared for with respect and heart, I wholeheartedly recommend Lake View Terrace. It’s peace of mind, and so much more.

I went to the 10 year Anniversary Carnival today. The staff were amazing. The residents were all excited about how much fun they and their families had. Such an amazing atmosphere there.

Let me preface by saying that I would put zero stars if I could. Since Lakeview Terrace took down my first review, here goes! The powers that be kicked out my very vulnerable mother 2 days before Christmas because she ran out of funds. She had spent every last penny living there and we were told that she would never be kicked out. My mother had dementia after a serious head injury and an ileostomy from having part of her colon removed. At the time of transfer to another facility, I discovered that the "Terrace administration" had unlawfully withdrawn money out of her Mercantile bank account. She was penniless, and there were no funds to make the transfer to the new facility! After reporting them to the Ombudsmen in Grand Rapids, they funds miraculously reappeared into her account. When the transfer finally happened, she was sent directly to the emergency room for cellulitis and an infection of her ileostomy. It was noted by the hospital nurses that she had not received the ostomy care that is required and she spent several weeks recovering. She died of pancreatic cancer 4 months later after being humiliated by this Lakeview Terrace. Th administration was ruthless and all they care about is profit.
