Lakewood Care Center

I put my mother in Lakewood after 3 years of her living in way more expensive and ‘nicer’ homes. I will say the other places may have been newer and sometimes cleaner, but my mother was happier here. There is a homey feel here. The other places were so sterile. Here all the residents knew each other, did activities together (as opposed to being wheeled in front of the TV all day). I would make the same choice again. Plus it’s WAY more affordable than any other.

Please put your lives one some place else. These people are terrible. The staff is always angry and never willing to help. The food is not even food. They treat the residents horribly. Someone needs to report them to the health department to do a visit. I am 100 percent sure they will not get a good review. Just pick another place!!

Do not put your love ones here!!! One smell of the place and you know exactly what is going on. It is dirty and they are not nice to the residents. Family owned and neglected. The food is horrible. Please do your research. This place is not fit for a dog.

Maddy is an excellent administrator of Lakewood. She is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and professional. Lakewood is an assisted living center where residents are cared for with compassion and respect.I can not recommend them highly enough!

1) Jane Jordan has been invaluable, both in kindness and knowledge; 2) Linda Towery has been professional yet gracious in dealing with my son's financial obligations; 3) Anita Gillespie has been professional and extremely courteous throughout; 4) the staff at Lakewood are first rate, ALWAYS; each trained person uses his/her training to deal with the denizens of Lakewood compassionately, affectionately (YES!) and with great respect.
