My husband has been a resident of this facility going onto his fourth year. It's been a long road just to get here, much less the slow walk home. That said I want to spotlight the anchor of this facility: Sima Godard. There are others with more administrative duties but there isn't anyone who will ensure that no only are the Residents needs met, but the care she extends to each family member is a blessing. The time helping a Loved One complete their life journey is overwhelming but there isn't a request, a concern, a worry that Sima doesn't make every attempt to resolve and most times she's successful! She is the first face you see when you enter the facility and often the last one. It seems to be her life's calling to help all she can and she does this with grace, charm and an endless amount of empathy. Four years is a long time to be here. I remain grateful for the continued kindness and care Sima extends not just to me, my family members, but to every family member of the Residents here that are lucky enough to interact with her.

Our mom lived at Lansdowne for the better part of a year before transitioning to another facility. It's well maintained, the next meal cooking in the kitchen always smells good, and a staff member is never far. It's a good fit for those who thrive in group activities. The central common area always has a full daily schedule and is busy with residents and staff. Quieter folks may end up keeping more to their individual rooms as our mom did, although the right event would still draw her out. A concert from a visiting string quartet was a favorite, for instance, and she loved the therapy dogs. Everyone we met demonstrated unfailing kindness. Sima, Christiane and Elise especially went above and beyond the duties of the front desk. They took the time to connect with us and empathize as we learned how to deal with mom's memory loss. Their kindness and compassion meant so much to us.

Lea took good care of me when I suddenly had to face the fact of placing my husband in a home so he would be safe. Lansdowne Heights is amazing. His room has his own furniture and feels like home. My husband loves all the entertainment and outings. The staff knows everyone’s name. They truly care about their residents. Thanks Lea for your help and support. It was not an easy decision, but it was the right one.

Our youngest sister has been a resident at Lansdown Heights for over a year and a half. She presents herself with not only as ID, seizure maintained through medication and early on-set Dementia. Challenging at best. We are extremely pleased with all the Directors, nurses and aides over these 20 months as they are always willing to shift plans, when needed for her. She receives love, medication in a timely manner and most of all she is safe. From the time you enter and while there visiting we always feel welcomed.

Lansdowne Heights Memory Care is an Outstanding community! The Team are Fantastic and Truly Care about their residents. It truly feels like Family at Lansdowne Heights!
