My mom has been living in a Larmax home for nearly three years. The decision to move to assisted living was difficult, as my mom has always been a very independent person, but health reasons made it necessary. I knew that I did not want my mom in a big, impersonal facility; I wanted a higher level of care and attention for her. We were very pleased w/Larmax Homes, when my mother-in-law also needed care, and we were lucky there was one opening available, when my mom was close to being discharged from a full summer of rehab after multiple surgeries. Mom now lives in a very comfortable, well-appointed house with caregivers who have really gotten to know her, and have been very accommodating to my mom’s schedules and needs. The staff is warm, kind, and caring (special shout-out to LaToya, the house manager) and makes the house a real home. We especially love some of the fun, big family activities such as the Spring Dance and Thanksgiving events. Although my mom would still prefer to live independently (who wouldn’t?) she enjoys the interactions she has with all of the staff members, feels cared for, and is doing well there. I am also very happy with the responsiveness of staff, anytime there has been a concern (health-related or otherwise).

My husband has been at a Larmax home (Ipswich) for over 2 years. I moved him from a larger facility which just did not meet his needs. I was heartbroken to have to place him in a memory care facility but I have been so happy with his care. The house is beautiful, his room is comfortable, and the staff are amazing. I visit him just about everyday and feel like the staff are our friends. I can call or text anytime if I have a concern & my questions are always answered. Their special events like the Thanksgiving for families and the yearly “dance” are so well planned & families are warmly welcomed. The art & music activities are fun and the staff & residents all seem to enjoy them. The staff have shared both laughter and tears with me & I am grateful that my husband is so well cared for.

Best decision we have made to move my dad to the house at Ipswich a couple months ago. The employees are incredibly warm and caring and my dad, who has Alzheimer’s, has been thriving. They have lots of activities, outings, and fun events for the residents, the house is beautiful and clean, and my dad is well cared for. It feels like he is at a loving home, versus a facility. We are very grateful to have found Larmax when we did!
