Laurel Heights is such a great community. The staff really goes above and beyond to care for their residents and it is such a welcoming, warm environment. The residents all seem to be happy and kind to one another. It is overall a great community.

On 3/26/25, I attended the Laurel Heights Spring Tea event. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Their food was prepared by the LH's chef, and it was delicious. I had nice conversations with other senior professionals. Sarah led me on a tour of their beautiful community. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. All and all it was a well spent 2 hours and I look forward to their next event. Danny B

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible care my father received at the memory center of Laurel Heights Senior Living & Memory Care in Moorpark, CA. From the moment my Dad arrived, the staff treated him with kindness, respect, and compassion. The atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and truly like a home. The center is designed in a way that makes residents feel comfortable and safe, with cozy common areas, beautiful outdoor spaces, and a peaceful environment that fosters a sense of community. They truly go above and beyond to engage with the residents, creating meaningful connections through various activities and interactions. Every day, there’s something new for the residents to look forward to, whether it's group games, music therapy, arts and crafts, or outdoor walks. The center also encourages social interaction, which was so important in keeping my loved one active and involved. Every team member, from the caregivers to the administrative staff, was dedicated to ensuring my Dad's comfort and well-being. Carthel Mercado, who is the director of the memory unit was available at all times, day and night, answering texts quickly, she would send me pictures of my dad, I always felt he was in the best of hands! As my father's health declined, they provided not only excellent medical and personal care, but also emotional support to both him and me. They were attentive to his needs, always patient, and treated him with dignity during every stage of his journey. It was clear that they genuinely cared for him as an individual, not just as a patient. Their thoughtful attention, along with their efforts to create a warm, welcoming environment, gave me peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. I will forever be grateful for the love and kindness they showed him, making his final days as comfortable as possible. I couldn’t have asked for a better environment, and I am deeply thankful for all that they did. I highly recommend Laurel Heights for anyone seeking memory care for a loved one! About a year ago, after my mom’s husband of over 50 years passed away, I decided to move her down to Southern California near where I reside. With 2 granddaughters living in nearby Moorpark, somewhere in the Conejo Valley seemed perfect. However, after several exhausting visits of other assisted living homes, Laurel Heights was far and away the best facility in the area. Jill Waters, Laurel Height’s very knowledgeable marketing director, escorted me on a tour of the gorgeous grounds, the wonderfully appointed apartments, and introduced me to the most friendly staff of people who obviously enjoyed working there. I saw right away that the employees of Laurel Heights genuinely cared about the people living there. Ms. Waters was incredibly professional and made me feel extremely comfortable. Without “pushing”, she guided me through the different kinds of care available, the very competitive pricing structures, as well as the many weekly activities that are offered to the residents. And that’s not to mention a tasting of the very delicious food that is freshly prepared and served 3 times a day! And the best thing is, Laurel Heights is located in the beautiful city of Moorpark, close to everything, and of course her 2 loving grandchildren. It can be a difficult time when trying to find a home for someone you love. And there are a whole lot of choices out there, which doesn’t make it any easier. But I found my place for mom, and it’s Laurel Heights. You should check it out first…ask for Jill Waters.

What a wonderful find for my mom, who has dementia. She required a higher level of care than we were able to provide at home, so we researched many assisted living, and Memory Care facilities in the area. She has never been happier, and has many enriching activities with her friends there every day. Her room is spacious, and beautifully decorated. The menu is varied, and my mom raves about all the choices! The staff is warm and inviting, and our family members all enjoy visiting, and participating in the fun activities. I’d love to compliment those wonderful people who tend to my mom with such care; including Carthel, Ella, Mayra, Clarissa, Stephanie, and Yalen. I highly recommend Laurel Heights for your loved ones!
