LAUREL OAKS

After leaving my home of 44 years, I began to rent my unit at LAUREL OAKS three months ago and I am happy to have made the move. The facility is comfortable and well kept and the staff responds quickly when I have needed any repairs or assistance. I have found the other residents and staff to be warm and welcoming. Although the food served is pretty different from my usual diet, having a comfortable kitchen allows me to maintain healthy and organic eating preferences.

My mom enjoys living at Laurel Oaks. Her one bedroom apartment is the right size for her, updated and thoughtfully laid out. She's made a number of friends. Everyone is friendly and there are a variety of activities. The meals are probably the area where she and her friends have the most complaints. There are menu items she would like to eat, but she's apprehensive about excess sodium. Also, some of the food is hard to cut and about once a week she and all of her tablemates leave a portion of the dinner because of this. It's inconsistent - one time an entree will be great, a few weeks later the same entree is unappealing.

The Executive Director, Kari, and Sales Director, Brooke, are amazing! They truly care about their residents. Your loved one will be in good hands at Laurel Oaks.

My father has been at Laurel Oaks 8 years. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made. He is happy, safe, loves the staff, the residents, the activities, and especially loves the food! He lived in the East coast for 75 years and then decided to move to the Milwaukee area to be near me and out family. I was concerned about where he might live. After meeting with the staff and seeing the facility, I was more than convinced, I was excited for him to come to his new home at Laurel Oaks. Since Kari, the Executive Director arrived, Laurel Oaks was taken to an even higher level. The entire facility was remodeled, the roof was replaced, events and outings increased. Hard to believe that it could get better, but it is. I would recommend Laurel Oaks without hesitation We all love it!

Our mom is in good hands. The staff is very responsive to her needs and their communication with us is very good. There is a genuine sense of community at Laurel Oaks.
