My mother has been so happy with her move into Laurel Parc Assisted LIving. (This is a big surprise as she was very opposed to even looking at an AL community just months ago.) She loves the food, the friendly staff and the numerous friends she has made amongst the residents. Mom is able to attend wellness classes which she enjoys and which are really helping her to be more active again. Most of all, she loves the social component and various activities. She attends the One Day University which has covered a variety of interesting topics such as Eight Flavors that changed the way Americans Eat and how Bach and his music were shaped by things happening during that period of history. Mom also looks forward to seeing a movie or two each week in the theater , attending a session around documentaries with discussions afterwards and her next goal is to take a trip with the Laurel Parc group to either a local play or a scenic Oregon destination. We toured a number of places and this was the winner for us. Highly recommend!

Laurel Parc is a very comfortable living arrangement for senior citizens. It is beautiful and well kept. The staff is professional, kind, and helpful. Both the maintenance and the transportation departments are fully staffed and reputable plus easy to work with. We are fortunate to have several vehicles to provide residents with rides to medical appointments and a variety of scheduled outings. Sign-up is required in advance at the front desk. A choice of a full breakfast is included in the rent and the dinner and lunch specials change daily. The residents at Laurel Parc represent a variety of interests and professions, which adds to the enjoyment of other members of this community. Zola Goodell

Almost everyone I've met here is very friendly, both staff and other residents. The staff is very helpful. Moving in is made easy, thanks to the efforts of the Move-in Coordinator, Eric Mackall, who patiently answers all of the many questions new residents may have and even helps them with electronic devices such as phones, tv, wifi, and printers. He also gives each new resident an overview of matters discussed in the resident handbook, such as services provided, dining, activities and events, housekeeping, maintenance, parking, billing, payment, transportation, pets, emergencies, and house rules. The food here is delicious and busses are provided to take those residents who wish to shop to Fred Meyer, QFC, Costco, Goodwill, and a few shopping centers. Residents with special dietary requirements find it easy to meet them by choosing from the variety of dishes offered. The maintenance staff responds quickly if anything needs to be fixed. One of my favorite activities is technical support, in which I get help on a one-to-one basis if I am having trouble with my cell phone, iPad, or printer. I also enjoy tai-chi class taught here by a very patient and encouraging gentlemen, Richard, who loves teaching people how to both relax and improve their balance. Laurel Parc also provides bus transportation for residents who wish to attend musicals, dance, or dramatic performances downtown or nearby. To sum it up, I'm very happy I moved here.
