LEGACY HOUSE AVONDALE

We toured this facility in anticipation of placing our mom here. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The facility is beautiful and inviting and the apartments are very functional and large. Safety is a priority and they take time to make sure the needs of the residents are met.

I took a tour today. Pro’s include what smelled like a delicious meal being prepared, adequate rooms and a workout room. The con’s were that it appeared that the residents tend to stay in their rooms because despite there being an activity scheduled, no one was participating. I only saw 2 residents out of their room. Also, there isn’t anything offered in level 6 care that is more involved than what level 1 receives, but it costs more.

They do not watch over your loved ones. They do not make sure they’re safe. They let a woman come in, acting as a friend outside of the Facility. Claiming she was a friend had my mother sign over everything she owned even her health rights as a POA. Never contacted her children. They do not investigate who is taking care of your mother. Obviously, it’s not caregivers that work at the facility. So if you have someone that you love staying there and you live out of state. I recommend you remove them from this facility because there is a woman that claim she’s everybody’s friend. She talks on people with Alzheimer’s and memory. This woman, I am speaking of has also had three other, so-called friends from that facility that have passed, and she has benefit from it. Stay away from legacy of Avondale. This is the honest to God truth

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Legacy House of Avondale! From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the warmth, compassion, and professionalism that make this place truly special. The staff go above and beyond every single day to ensure residents feel safe, valued, and at home. The community is always clean, beautifully maintained, and filled with engaging activities that keep everyone active and connected. The Executive Director, Miranda, is absolutely outstanding. Her leadership, dedication, and genuine care for both residents and staff truly set the tone for the entire community. She is approachable, attentive, and deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards of care. It’s clear that she leads with both heart and integrity. If you’re looking for a place where your loved one will be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, this community is a blessing. Highly recommend!

In 2023, I needed to find assisted living care for my 80 year old sister that would cover a 4+month period from January to May 2024. For both my sister and I, the appropriate facility had to be resort-quality, and must assiduously maintain the safety and welfare of its residents. Of equal importance would be that same staff's necessity to efficiently manage my sisters on-site medical care and physical therapy. This would also involve overseeing her complex appointment scheduling (including transportation requirements) involving 7 separate medical specialties, as well as 3 scheduled dialysis sessions per week). Legacy House was suggested to me. My sister and I scheduled an immediate visit. We were both impressed by the caliber of professionalism and positive demeanor of every staff member and resident that we encountered. The facilities were magnificent and flawlessly maintained - like walking onto a Marriott Resort Property. The staff and residents were so welcoming to us. Their competency and genuine sense of wanting to insure my sisters care, safety, and wellbeing never waned during her 23-month residency at Legacy House. It has be outstanding!
