Our mom found her home there, and I couldn't be happier with the incredible care she receives. Legacy Village isn't just a place to live; it's a community of love and support. We're forever grateful to the wonderful staff for taking such good care of our mom. When I wrote this review initially, mom had been at Legacy almost four years. My mother passed away in February after almost nine years at Legacy. She was provided with the utmost in care and respect. Often seniors are so missed or ignored because they’re old! That was never the case with my mom or any other resident. The entire staff went out of their way to take care of us especially in mom’s last days. I can never say thank you enough for all they did for her and for our family. I’m thankful mom never had to leave Legacy because they became our family too. Some day I will need care and I look forward to knowing there is a place called Legacy for me too! My mother has lived at Legacy Village of Jacksonville for almost four years. She has received excellent care from all of the staff. Everyone who works there truly has a heart for seniors and it shows in everything they do. During this pandemic when I was unable to see my mother, I never worried about her. I knew that she was being well cared for in my absence. She is a very particular person but she finds it hard to complain about anything! I have recommended this facility to numerous friends and will continue to do so. In my opinion, there isn’t a better facility on this side of our state!

We needed a place for our mother to stay and be taken care of around the clock. We were able to get her into Legacy Village where she has been loved and cared for which gives us some peace of mind. They offer so many possibilities for mother to participate in and to keep her from being alone. I am grateful for the administration, nurses and caregivers that devote their time, experience and mostly their hearts to care for our mother.

My aunt decided she was tired of living alone and she wanted to move to assisted living. We visited several facilities..but after visiting Legacy she was excited about moving in. The facility is very clean, recently updated, and has an amazing staff. Weekly activities include exercise, crafts and bingo…which includes prizes (very important to my aunt). The community support of this facility includes individuals, churches, and even student organizations from the local university. They provide entertainment and fellowship with residents frequently. I have always felt as if the staff was in partnership with me in caring for my aunt and I appreciate their help in making this season of my aunt’s life an enjoyable one.
