Active Senior Living is infested with bedbugs. There is no emergency help for people that fall at night in their rooms. The staff are not always helpful. The food is terrible and the new manager is rude disrespectful and does not know how to deal with issues concerning the residence, I would not recommend this place, especially with a new management and especially that it’s full of bedbugs and there’s violations on this property.

I recently visited Active Senior living and was blown away by the customer service. The staff was attentive, and the product exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them!. Lynn Baird is such a sweet heart and a pleasure to work with. This facility is well kept and the perfect place for your family member.

My mother has lived here for 10 years now. She is well taken care of. The food is good. The place is always clean. The staff is friendly and communicative. She is happy woman about to turn 89 years old. I feel good knowing my mother lives here. Update January 2021: My mom just celebrated her 91st birthday. We went to visit her. They scheduled an appointment for us to see her outside. They are doing the best they can under the circumstances. I am still very pleased with the level of care my mother is receiving. They are very kind and accommodating. Update: My mom transitioned Feb 17th 2021 after a fall. While in the hospital knowing it was her time to leave she asked one thing "I want to go home." By home, she meant Active Senior Living. I made sure she did get home. The accommodated her hospice care. She was so grateful to be back home *Though at the time I had to be gowned and double masked, after taking the test (which was negative) they allowed me to go in and sit with my mother for a bit to say good bye. I sang her music to her and recited her own poetry that she had written. Thank you ASL, for always taking the best care of my mom.

This facility should be closed down. My grandmother lived there for four years and was neglected on a daily basis. She was a quiet resident so she was always pushed in a corner and forgotten. She needed help being fed and that rarely happened so she didn’t eat. She was only changed once a day which led to several UTI’s that required hospitalization when she couldn’t be woken. She would forget to drink due to dementia so she was hospitalized more than once for dehydration. Her clothes and eyeglasses went missing more than once and no one would have answers. They were always understaffed and the staff that was there were also the cleaning crew and laundry attendants so they had little time for the patients. She was in lockdown due to covid and was very thin when we finally saw her and this was her life till she passed away alone at this facility. A formal complaint has been filed with the state on the bad conditions but it will takes years of red tape before anything is done. Please check on your loved ones regularly if they are there and do not put them in this facility.

My sister has been with this facility for six months and absolutely loves it. She's only 58 years old and has Alzheimer's so you can imagine how devastating this situation is for our family. On top of that, we all live in Connecticut and with the Pandemic, we can't visit her. However, we're confident that she's in a safe place being cared for by knowledgeable and attentive staff. Administrator Myra Perez-fliegler has always been there for us. Even though she's incredibly busy running the facility, she still finds time to connect with us and assure us that everything is OK. She always makes the effort to connect us with my sister over the phone or via Video Chat. We couldn't be happier with a facility and a staff that is kind, understanding, friendly and professional. They're able to make her feel safe, comfortable, and meet her needs.
