I will be forever grateful for the years Lily and Syringa cared for my wife Julie as she battled early onset Alzheimer’s. She was always well cared for by a staff that had little turnover. I never left after a visit to Lily and Syringa to spend time with Julie that I didn’t feel fortunate she was in such good hands. I know how difficult the process of turning over the care of a parent or spouse to someone else is. Lily and Syringa is the place you are looking for.

My mother moved into Lily and Syringa after a poor experience with another facility. My mother THRIVED here. She felt loved and cared for and we had no qualms about her care. I received a call from the facility and my heart sank. Instead of a complaint I heard about the funny thing my mom did. At the end of her life there were tears and concern for us from the staff. I so wish we would have found this wonderful facility sooner!

We chose Lily and Syringa when we moved our mother to memory care after witnessing the passion, concern and grief expressed for their residents while touring the facility. Much of the staff has been working there for many, many years, and their genuine concern and passion was evident every time we visited. They would share specifics about mom’s day and her health without even asking. The place was always clean and they served hot, home cook meals, unlike some. Every door has loud alarms that receive immediate attention if they are set off. This was important to us since our mother was a flight risk. We felt mom was safe here. When it was time to put mom on hospice, they were sensitive and sympathetic with the family and did their very best to make sure mom's final days were the best they could be. Every time they came in the room to adjust her in bed, they would run a comb through her hair, freshen her up with wipes, and ask if they could do anything for us. Lily & Syringa was the last and best fit for our mom—she was happier here than anyplace else. I believe it was because it is a much smaller facility. There were resident bedrooms with a common kitchen and living room area, and a courtyard where mom could safely sit outside and enjoy the sun, sounds and fresh air. It felt like home.

My friend resided in Lily & Syringa in Idaho Falls for nearly 12 years. She had advanced Alzheimers. This is a small facility which allows the caregivers to give folks the attention they need. The staff are hard workers and always friendly. This is especially important because taking care of folks with memory issues is so challenging. It takes special people to do this job and Lily hires the right people. The residents are clean and are well cared for. My friend recently passed and I visited my friend multiple times a day while she was passing and the staff were very supportive and anticipant my needs. I would happily recommend Lily to anyone going through a situation such as this. Lily and Syringa deserve a big thank you!

Recently my husband spent the final month of his life at Syringa. I am so thankful we found this place. He was not an easy person to care for. At first he was combative and then he required constant help. They showered him with loving care when he was a nuisance and when he was bedridden. Our family was lucky enough to stay with him for a few days before he passed away. The staff took care of him with such gentleness. And took care of us with that same gentleness. He was kicked out of another facility because of his behavior. Mary White, the director at Lily and Syringa didn't hesitate to invite him in. When we talked about his behavior, she told me it wasn't a problem, that was how Alzheimer's patients behaved. The staff made sure he was clean, and fed, and that he took his medication, even if they had to trick him! That made such a difference in his behavior! It was only a month, but the entire staff at Lily and Syringa treated him and our family like royalty. I am forever indebted to them. This is the place to take your loved ones!
