After working there for several months, I can say with all certainty that the poor reviews and low ratings are accurate. The care is not good, and they are not interested in improving. What I saw and heard were very troubling. I would never place my loved one in their assisted living or memory care, and I do not recommend to friends. The rehab unit is okay, because they have good therapists.

My Grandmother was at the rehab portion prior to her passing two years ago. My Grandfather ended up moving to the assisted living building. He was there for over two years until he recently passed away. We are so impressed with both Aaron and Misti's support during his stay at Linden Grove. My grandpa had a hard time with my Grandma's passing but Linden Grove was so thoughtful and inclusive to make my Grandpa feel at home. The residents are a tight knit and welcoming group and we are so thankful for the quality of life my Grandpa was able to have there the past two years.

My sister in law spent over 5 weeks at LindenGrove Waukesha. Because of a simple fall , she had a broken ankle which required major surgery to repair. This necessitated required nursing care and physical therapy. Prior to being cared for by LindenGrove, she had spent 13 days in 2 different hospitals and 5 days at another care center. To make things more challenging, she has other medical issues which required special attention. When she arrived at LindenGrove, she had a large, clean beautiful room with her name on it. Because of the inability to put pressure on the ankle, she required adaptive products that allowed her to transfer with help and dignity for weeks. ( The prior facility had 2 residents in a room with a bathroom that was not ADA compliant ) . We were able to meet almost immediately with the management staff to go over all of her special medical needs which were independent of the injury. We were impressed with their attention to detail . The staff was attentive and caring. No one belittled or yelled at her when challenges arose. The nursing staff was attentive to managing the surgery wounds and medications, particularly Jen. The physical/occupational therapy staff did a good job in instilling confidence in her progress. Because of her medical history, she required a special diet. We were able to meet with the nutritionist and create a specialized daily menu which was accommodated. The dining room , resident rooms, lobbies, and outside settings are maintained, clean, and inviting. Since we were fortunate to live 3 blocks from the facility, we had the opportunity to visit more often and interact with staff. What happens when family members are not present is what distinguishes quality of care from one facility to the next. I would say LindenGrove passed that test.

My mother was in Linden Grove. I was genuinely excited for her to be there as the room was bright and she had privacy as each room is a single room. They also said they were going to take her out of bed to start working on her strength and brought a special chair to her room to help with that. Unfortunately, it was all talk with no action. They never took her out of bed and I think she was bathed once while she was there. I had to clean her when I visited. The staff was always extremely slow to respond when I pushed the button for assistance, once time waiting for hours with no response until I went walking around to find someone and was told they were short staffed. I found my mother non responsive multiple times when visiting and had to call an emergency ambulance. The Linden Grove staff was completely unaware every time. The last time I visited her, it was clear that she was in extreme duress. She was sweating profusely and her breathing sounded like a truck where she was gasping for air. I immediately called the staff in and was actually told that the medical staff visited her that same day for her weekly check. I was dumbfounded. How could they have had a medical professional check her and leave her in that condition? It was clear that didn't happen and someone just said they checked on her, but didn't. Or if they did, they should have their medical license revoked. I'm not in the medical profession, but it was abundantly clear that she was not ok. I ended up calling an ambulance and having her taken to the hospital. She was sick with an infection and had a raging fever and was not getting nearly enough oxygen. These are things you don't even need equipment to see. She was in the ICU for over 10 days at the hospital to recover from this. I just can't understand how no one on the staff noticed her condition and just walked by her, nor did anyone call us. Thankfully, I checked on her often. I took the time to meet with their director or nursing after the last incident to express my extreme frustration and disappointment in their lack of care for my mother. I would expect taking vitals would be routine, especially for someone who is lower functioning like my mother was. The staff didn't even know how to take vitals. You bring your loved one to a place like this, pay thousands and thousands of dollars, only for them to be neglected. It's really sad.

We moved my mom here after a pretty horrible experience at another facility. The staff is attentive and responsive. Calls are answered and communication is good. There are no shared rooms here. Every resident gets their own, private space. All of the rooms I've seen are bright and well taken care of. I'm happy, my mom is happy and I'm pleased with her new home. Thank you, Linden Grove. I can sleep peacefully at night knowing my mom is in a good place.
