LUCIE'S SHADY REST

My brother and I were recommended this place through my mother's social worker. She specifically said that we needed to hurry because rooms go fast in this house and I can see why. Gil and Lucie are wonderful stewards and Ellen has been great in taking care of my mother. When you walk in, unlike a lot of other facilities, it really seems like home. They allow you stay overnight, regular home cooked meals are prepared on site, and they really care about all their residents. It is completely different from where my mother was at before that seemed more like a hospital than a home and I am glad my brother was able to move our mother here. They have two small dogs and cats which my mother (who has had no dogs since she went into any facility) adores and seeing a cat nestle up on my mother was great. I feel so fortunate to have my mother staying here in the last days of her life and whole heartedly recommend it.

A nice, clean assisted living facility. Nursing staff are friendly, competent and caring. Food is cooked on site and is nutritious and delicious. Care is taken to create a homey and pleasing environment. Residents are given time to be outdoors or walked through the neighborhood if their condition allows it. Lucie is an absolute doll.
