Moving my favorite person out of the home she had lived in for 54 years was one of the hardest decisions of my life. I am lucky that my mother had always said that she wanted to live in an assisted living facility when she could not do it on her own anymore. She felt that she could participate in activities and meet new friends. When the time actually came, it was not easy, and I had been by visiting many different facilities. Many of the facilities were sad to visit as staff seemed disinterested. When I visited Aegis for the first time, there is an amazing difference. The staff is engaging and friendly. As I walked around meeting residence and staff, I was very impressed. My mother has been residing at Aegis for five months now. There are definitely growing pains, emotionally and logistically. That being said, the staff has been absolutely incredible as I have gotten to know many of them. There is always somebody to resolve whatever issues come up. Staff that has done an outstanding job when dealing with me are, Lance, Yolanda, and many other smiling helpful faces. When I decided to write this review, I also asked my mother whether she had people on staff that she wanted to mention as being outstanding. She mentioned Christina and both Michael’s who work in the dining room. She mentioned they all go out of their way to be very nice and helpful. She also loves the food! Lastly, if you make up your mind to visit Aegis, I would highly recommend Brittany who helped me with all of the logistics of moving my mother. She solved problems, introduced me to staff, and because she was my first point of contact has always been able, especially in the beginning, to point me in the right direction of who I need to talk to for a particular thing. Good luck

Our 95-year-old mother has been a resident at Aegis for more than five years, and throughout that time we have consistently been impressed by the professionalism, compassion, and dedication of the staff that support her. The team not only attends to our mother’s physical needs with diligence and respect but also show genuine kindness and patience—qualities that greatly enhance her quality of life. It is clear that the staff at Aegis take immense pride in ensuring residents feel valued, comfortable, and safe. We highly recommend this home. A special thank you to the following outstanding team members: Lorena and Trish (Concierge), Sabrina (Life Enrichment Director), Michelle (Driver), Gabe A., Mooshy, Lily, Maria P., and Lisa (Community Team Members).

My 96 year old mother has been a resident at Aegis Granada Hills for 5 years now. The excellent and compassionate care has been a blessing for mom and our family. The staff really, truly care for mom and do so many little things that make her life so much better. Despite her recent onset of Alzheimer's they still make her smile and feel loved when we cannot be there. Earlier this year mom was IP hospitalized for 5 days and then 10 days in SNF. During her hospitalization the Director of Nursing was in contact with me multiple times a day via her personal phone. While mom was in SNF the Director Nursing as well as the overall Care Director made a personal visit to the SNF to check up on mom, and me, and to help coordinate her care and return to Aegis. At this point the staff at Aegis, a great many of whom have been there since we started five years ago, are like family not only to mom, but to us her family. Aegis has been a wonderful place for mom to receive loving, supportive and compassionate care.

My mother spent the last year and a half of her life in memory care at Aegis Granada Hills. The facility is lovely, clean, well maintained, and has an overall positive "vibe." The individual rooms are very nice as are the outdoor spaces and common living areas. Because my sisters and I all live out of state, it was particularly important to us to know that she was receiving the best care possible and we were not disappointed. The care staff are well trained, kind, and loving in what is not always an easy situation. The activity staff, with Sabrina at the helm, are equally great - upbeat, fun, and creative. All have a great sense of humor and work hard to engage the residents in meaningful and joyful activities. Weekly concerts were a highlight for our mom. The med techs and nurses are competent and professional. Many of the staff members now feel like family and we will truly miss them. Toward the end of her life, our mom developed medical issues that required special attention and Yolanda was always very open and communicative with us. Lance, the gracious Director, responded promptly and honestly to any questions or concerns we had and was always so kind to our family - going "above and beyond" on numerous occasions. Overall, we cannot imagine a better place for our mom to have spent her last days and we will be forever grateful.

The decision to place my father into a memory care unit was incredibly difficult. When I entered Aegis within minutes I knew this was my Dad’s new home. The professionalism and high standards for cleanliness was obvious. I was positive he would be well cared for. Thankfully I was correct, the entire staff and nursing team was the absolute best. The caring and loving my Dad received was beyond my expectations. Aegis became our family and words can not express how much I respect and admire this facility.
