LUTHER MANOR AT RIVER OAKS

Wish I had the positive experience previous reviews did. My husband moved in August ‘22, had angry outbursts the first night. He threw the remote at the tv and shook his wheelchair. He has total right side paralysis and no ability to move independently. I was called at 4am to come calm him. While there I got another call that his behavior was threatening and I had to get him out, so I took him home. He was there a total of 12 hours. I thought it odd their residents were all women (one man, but he wasn’t there) who seemed completely medicated. I could be wrong but one aide confirmed “she gets her dose and goes down like a horse.” That might be their desired residents. It breaks my heart to give this review. Fabulous location and facility. I had such high hope. The experience took a huge toll. Unfortunately one rough night doesn’t get a second chance. My husband felt terrible about his behavior, but was told if I brought him back they’d call the police. They did charge him for the day…

My mother was at River Oaks for about 5 years. The staff was great, they treated the residents very well and welcomed family and friends. I recommend them!
