It may be an expensive nursing home, but that does not give their employee the right to nearly run someone over with their car — nor does it excuse the management for looking the other way. We tried multiple times to contact them but have not received any response. There is currently a pending case against the staff member for second-degree assault and robbery.

I really enjoy the place! There are so many activities for the residents. Everyone is so friendly. There is a real sense of a caring community here!

My parents had a great experience-until my mom had a stroke and could no longer stay in an independent apartment with my dad. We were shocked to find that Miller's Grant was far from being true to the "transitional living" model that was advertised in their literature. There is a severe shortage of assisted living spaces and we were in a "holding pattern" while mom was in rehab. After we finally secured an assisted living apartment, my mom had a few falls and we were told that the only way she could stay was to have 24-hour caregiver assistance - at an extra 40K A MONTH - obviously not sustainable. The only solution they gave us was to wait for a Long term health care room for her. But there are woefully few of these at MG. After several weeks of waiting - and hemorrhaging money - my mom had another stroke. I got a call about the stroke and was told before mom was even in the ambulance that she would not be allowed back in the apartment. My family had to scramble to find a new place for my parents before my mom left the hospital. It was a nightmare! Luckily we found another facility that had 2 openings and we cleared out the room and moved my parents again. Social services at MG was no help with this whole process. Thank goodness for help from Howard County General social workers. The bottom line is, it's a beautiful community. But unless they have made significant changes this year, they are not prepared for their residents to have physical decline. Not nearly enough assisted living spaces and hardly any long term care spaces. And the family pays the price.

My family has had a great experience with Miller's Grant. My mother was a resident at Miller's Grant for approximately five years. She started in an Independent Living apartment that was lovely and comfortable. She enjoyed everything MG had to offer, but eventually developed dementia. She moved seamlessly (as much as possible) into Assisted Living where she received outstanding care until her death. I am truly grateful for the care that she received and, most especially, for those who provided it!

This small computer store has fantastic prices on refurbished computers. I always start shopping here for my next laptop. One time the repair department couldn't fix my computer. I was sent to the owner. He devoted a lot of time to fixing my computer. I was amazed that the top guy would spend so much time helping one customer.
