MARAVILLA

My husband and I had a tour of Maravilla on 2/24/2026. Lori Guttman, dir of sales was a positive and warm person besides all of the residents were also smiling at us so that we felt very welcomed.

Beautiful surroundings. 20 acres. Have 1 and 2 bedroom plus cottages. With or without amenities, your choice. Visited to see pricing and get a feel of the waiting list. There is about approximately 5 year waiting list. Only negative is that you are next to Highway 101 traffic, and can hear it when outside, only in certain areas of the property. Also no nursing support. If needed, you would hire home care. Assisted living and memory care areas are on the property if needed.

Maravilla’s open house was a well-organized, informative, and hospitable event. The panel of four residents from varied backgrounds who shared stories and answered questions provided a memorable up-close and personal session. To top it off, a delicious offering of drinks/canapes provided by the in-house chef sealed the deal for me!

Friend just moved into assisted living and it seemed so nice, I set up a tour for myself of independent and “casitas” a few days later. Very attractive premises, good activities available, excellent food. Park like setting within easy ride of grocery, drugstore, restaurants and a movie theater. Various levels of care available, from fully independent to assisted and memory care; no skilled nursing level. Wait lists for some levels.

Maravilla is a very tranquil operation. The property is nicely laid out and has very well maintained grounds. The architectural theme is keeping with Santa Barbara and its Spanish heritage. The facilities are well maintained and the employees we encountered were all warm and inviting. Overall really nice place to be.
