Through family, work and friends, we've had considerable experience with half a dozen assisted living facilities in the Eugene area. The Marquis on Country Club is BY FAR the best. All assisted living facilities have high turnover and struggle with staffing, but the Marquis gets the job done better than the others - much better. Our elderly mother lived there happily for two and a half years, so we can speak with some authority. The Marquis' two best characteristics are: 1) The staff is consistently courteous, kind and caring. Always! 2) The staff and management are responsive. Never once did they push back on a concern. They always worked hard to fix any problem. This Marquis facility is clean, almost new, attractive, and well-maintained. Our mother was safe and secure there. We have not seen better, even at much higher prices. No place is perfect, but the folks at this Marquis work hard to be better. If we had to choose a place for a family member today, we would not hesitate to select the Marquis as our first and only pick.

HORRIBLE conditions for these unfortunate souls that have to live under the management of this establishment. I'm heartbroken for all those wonderful people. 💔 Do NOT leave your loved ones here UNLESS you can be on site a minimum of 5 days/wk to pick up the slack of their SEVERELY understaffed facility. Every staff member there with the exception or 3 people are AMAZING people. But as the old saying goes, "it's pretty difficult to swim when your hands are tied behind your back in rough waters"

Our 90 year-old mother moved in one year ago. Since then, we have been very pleased with every aspect of the Marquis. It's a brand new facility, so everything there is clean and fresh. We have been very impressed with the management of the operation. Everyone has been extremely responsive to our every request. Every single member of the staff clearly makes a great effort to know each resident and address them by name. Everyone is courteous, compassionate and helpful. There has been no turnover in management. Erika (the director), Starr (the activities director), Wendy (the nutrition director), and Tara (the nurse in charge) have been there from day one for our mother. Dealing with elderly residents in assisted living is not easy, especially when every one of them has special needs and unique personalities, but the team there manages this with a great deal of kindness. We visit every few days, and I see the activities director, Star, going to residents' suites to encourage them to come out to an event that she has arranged, whether it be a musician, a visiting pet, or an entertaining game. She is such a patient person. It's a beautiful thing. And the food? We've dined there a few times ourselves. Pretty much everything that we've tried is restaurant quality – and delicious. Compliments to Wendy, the nutrition director. Plus, the variety of her frequently changing menu is impressive. Overall, I would say that no place is perfect, as there will always be hiccups wherever you go, but when we've had an issue, question or concern (nothing big), and brought it to the attention of Erika, the overall General Manager/Director, the item is addressed promptly. Erika is running a top-flight program at the Marquis. Also, we use the Marquis pharmacy company, Consonus, for her prescriptions, so that the medical team there is able to reliably ensure delivery right at the facility, an excellent arrangement. So, with a year of experience now, we are please to recommend the Marquis to you for your loved ones. Two thumbs up and five stars all the way. ~ Mark M.

The staff is kind and wonderful however, the facility is undersfaffed and management is so unprofessional. Our dear loved one passed away while residing at this facility and we were never able to contact a manager, no one was ever available and no one reached out to us. No condolences, no communication about vacating her apartment, nothing! How does a senior living facility completely disregard the family of a deceased tenant? Oh, and they raised the cost to reside at this facility before she had been living there a year. I would think twice about placing a loved one here.

Spacious Independent/Assisted Living facility with Memory Care Unit and dozens of standalone condominium-style houses, with post-2015 exterior aesthetics. Located less than a minute from the Eugene Country Club and Eugene Sheriff's Office, five minutes from the Valley River Center as well as Downtown, this is an excellent spot for easy commutes throughout the city. Staff are extremely friendly, food is above average in quality with a rotating and seasonal menu; there is also a cafe suitable for business lunches, although it is a bit on the expensive side. Overall, very nice place.
