MCFARLAND VILLA ASSISTED LIVING

Very friendly and attentive staff! They provide a safe, clean, and friendly environment for my father and he feels very comfortable there. All of his needs are being met and all of the staff are great about assisting with all of our different needs as they care for him. This has been an excellent fit for my father and one I can feel very comfortable knowing he is getting his needs met in a very home-like environment!

I have been very happy with the care that my father is getting at McFarland Villa. The staff and administrators, who have worked there for years, are always helpful and patient. There probably could be more people on staff but, like everywhere, finding good people is a challenge. Thank you everyone at McFarland Villa for all your hard work and dedication!

McFarland Villa Assisted Living was our hidden gem. We needed a place for our 91 year-old father to live at that we felt would be a good fit for him. We looked for something that had a cozy home feel, great quality staff that really cared about their residents, and ideally that wasn't going to obliterate his bank account immediately. We knew it was a lot to ask. And then I stepped into this very unassuming, hidden assisted living that was down the street from us. I had exhausted my search of finding something that was "ideal", and was ready to begrudgingly lower my hopes, and then thought I would just check this place out. I walked in, and there were residents laughing and participating in an activity with the activity director. The facility had an immediate homey feel, and I was greeted with a warm smile and hello from one of the assistants. From that moment, we felt like the Villa wrapped us in their arms and took care of not only our dad, but us. As our dad declined, I shed many tears with the staff, who cried alongside me. When hospice got involved, and was visiting daily, they continued to comment how impressed they were with this facility in particular, as they visit many facilities. When our dad started the dying process, the Villa allowed him to stay in their care, and as we held vigil for him, they came in one-by-one to say their goodbyes with tears in their eyes. We felt that he was not only cared for, but he was loved by this Villa. Everyone from the med-passers, to the kitchen staff, housekeeping, the directors, everyone; they were ALL wonderful. I will never forget their kindness, great care, very fair pricing (actually the best in Dane County, which is hard to believe), and time they gave to our whole family. I know I will forget names, so I apologize for only giving one, but please know that I carry you all in my heart, and when I see you, I will always have a hug for you. My 100 year old mother has been at the Villa for over 2 years, and her care there has been quite good. I feel the recent change in directors will make the Villa an even better facility, with Karen Borowski at the helm.
