I was greeted warmly and given perfect directions as to where I needed to go. When I went to the room, I was met with a woman a bit sourpussed face. I could have reacted in kind, but chose to be my charming self and thought, I don't know about what she may be going through. She then started to smile and be less robotic and more personable. The phlebotomist was snippy as well. I told her to please use the baby needle. She snipping said, "I know, but there are two sizes" I told her the babies one! My veins collapse, I know what needle to use. If I remember, she got it in one without fishing. My suggestion would be to train your people more to leave their personal crap at home because they don't know what your patient's are going through either and the need a kind face and kindness.

I am so positively impressed every time I visit the Clay County Medical Center. I appreciate the scale of the facility, the excellent care I receive, and the friendliness of those I encounter. And Dr. Short is the best!
