My mother was a resident for over three years. The old owners did a good job of meeting my mother’s needs, but Calvin and Lourdes exceeded my expectations. It was hard during COVID when I could not visit. They sent me weekly updates with pictures. Her fingernails were painted, her hair styled and cute comfortable outfits were a constant. She was happy when we talked and FaceTimed courtesy of the owners. My mother loved Lourdes like a daughter. They made me feel so welcome and I appreciated all of the staff. It felt like family when I was there. I only lived four doors away so before Covid I could pop in unexpectedly anytime. Mom was always clean, cared for and in good spirits. I would do it again if I had too. When Mom passed they were so loving and kind. It made a hard time better. I will forever be grateful for Melody Court.

We moved my mother-in-law in here about a week ago. She is a woman who does not deal with change very well, is somewhat agoraphobic and takes quite a while warming up to strangers. We were very concerned that she was working herself into a panic attack, ending up in emergency again. But to our surprise they not only got her to calm down after we left, but had her out in the group setting and talking with people living there. And she is settling in quite well. These people not only know what they are doing, they generally care about the people left under their care. I am so pleased they had space for her and look forward to hearing about her new roommate.

Looking for a place for a family member, we checked out Clarendon Court. I was very impressed with the place. The atmosphere was so calm. And some of the people that lived there were so friendly I had to stop for a moment to say hello. They have a pretty nice set-up for the residents there and they all seemed happy on the day we checked it out. They even have a very nice patio area outside, with a table and chairs for the residents to spend their outside time comfortably and securely.
