Deep Appreciation to the extraordinary staff of Memory Haven: Lyn: Her “can do attitude” makes the Residents feel relax, smile, and be at ease. She finds ways for the Residents not to miss a meal. My spouse was at the media room’s recliner & didn’t want to get up for dinner. Lyn took his dinner to him. My spouse ate & finished his dinner. Lyn also took the time and the initiative to make my spouse say yes for a sponge bath, shave, and change of clothes. Marissa: I appreciate Marissa’s regular communication with me about the health status of my spouse. She gives individual attention to the Residents & their Families. Her statement, “We will do our best to make them get up to eat”, was in full contrast with, “We can’t force them to get up or force them to eat.” Marissa’s statement had put me at ease that my spouse will eat his meals, would be out of bed, & would be well taken cared of! Editha: She exudes warmth with a ready smile. She is very organized with complete attention to details. Her patience & perseverance make my spouse to get out of bed, take a shower, & eat. She leaves my husband’s room, bathroom, clothes, in order. Donna: She is a hands on Director! She is on the floor ensuring everything is well taken cared of. She is not the typical behind the desk director but always on the floor with the staff, residents, and the families. They are all experts who make the Residents and their Families feel at home at Memory Haven Thank you for everything that you all do!

Although our moms time at Memory Haven was only for a short two months, there is a need to express our deepest gratitude to the facility and to each and every staff member. Their kind, warm, and gentle care provided us reassurance that our mom was in the best place during her last days. Our mom’s condition came on suddenly and progressed quickly. Memory Haven was there for us in a dire need situation. I work in a hospital and see patient care on a daily basis, so when I saw the attention to detail, (such as finding the right water bottle, or making sure she had her blanket we made her and her stuffed animal next to her), the patience, and the love for helping those needing memory care, I knew she was in good hands. We visited everyday, and always felt welcome. During our moms last days, we stayed by our moms side, and they welcomed all of our family in to be with her, (even found games for the kids to play, again, attention to detail). To Donna, Michelle and ALL of the caregivers, our family sends our sincerest gratitude for all you do. Thank you.
