MERRILL GARDENS AT ANTHEM

Merrill Gardens has been such a blessing to my mom and our family after several months of my mom residing there. The staff is so friendly and caring and fun! The food is great, the apartments are nice, and the property is beautiful. They have monthly meetings for the residents to give them information on the upcoming month among other things and allow the residents to ask any questions. It truly feels like a partnership and that they care that the residents have the best experience possible. I have been blown away by how wonderful Merrill Gardens is and I am so thankful we found it. I thank the staff for their hard work and dedication each and every day.

Last summer Merrill Gardens Anthem interviewed my dad for 5 minutes or so and declined him to their memory care unit (saying he "didn't meet their criteria") to live there and then interviewed my step mom for 30 minutes and accepted her into assisted living. Since then, they have been separated and in a state of decline in separate states. My stepmom calls me regularly in the evenings lonely and crying that she misses my dad horribly and my dad wanders around his Veterans Home asking if anyone has seen his beloved wife. It's the worst possible ending scenario for a couple who have been been married for 33+ years...I called last week to try to start piecing together what the criteria was and was told at first that "they didn't keep those records." After I pressed further the lady who interviewed him said she could try to pull them from corporate. No word yet...it makes one wonder...It's heartbreaking...

My Mom has joined community in April of 2024. Rica and all the caregivers go above and beyond to help residents and families. Non stop action, great home cooked meals and super helpful and friendly. The facility is always neat and clean!I would definitely recommend them to everyone looking. 7/10/25 Update My Mom was taken to Honor Health bin Deer Valley. She was restrained in bed for a week. Did numerous tests and not really sure of the exact decision. Had stomach issues. She was released back to Merrill Garden House. I had to pay for one on one care through another service that costs a lot of $. Decided to evaluate through Hospice and think done kind of rapid decline in her brain. She was approved and from there she needed a place that could watch her better and so I moved her to Embracing Assisted Living in Glendale. Not an easy decision but needed more care than Merrill could give to keep her safe. Very happy with the change.

My mother in law has been in memory care for at least a year. Rica and the other wonderful people at Merrill Gardens have been extremely helpful and they do their best to care for all of the residents. Even when things are hectic and busy they are able to get things done. I completely trust them, and we are grateful for the facility. I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for Elsa and Sanna. Both of these lovely ladies go above and beyond in the Garden House. My mother in law appreciates the extra love and support these two ladies display on a daily basis. Both ladies are nurturing, caring, kind, and they are always willing to do extra duties if asked. Thank you to both of these wonderful ladies for making the residents feel comfortable and loved.

My Dad has lived in the Garden House of Merrill Gardens for 8 months now. He has adjusted well to his new residence. Rica has been a blessing to our family in helping our Dad adjust to his new surroundings. Rica keeps my siblings and I updated weekly on how our Father is doing which gives us all much peace of mind. Rica responds quickly to our emails and is willing to help us in any situation that we need assistance. I live out of state but I am able to call my Dad every day just to say hi to him and see how his day is going. The staff answers the phone and are always willing to take to phone to him so we can chat.
