Merrill Gardens at Hillsboro

I had to do an urgent post-hospitalization move for my 93 year old mother recently. Luckily, I had already received recommendations from family members of two residents of Merrill Gardens and had planned on touring eventually for anticipated future needs. The staff of Merrill Gardens were amazing in making this move both timely and financially doable for us. I really thought Mom would be unhappy with having to change facilities but she tells me almost daily how happy she is. She loves still having her own apartment, how friendly the other residents and staff are plus how good the food is. I agree with her on these things plus I am so glad to have caregiver services available that can increase with Mom's needs. Merrill Gardens was the silver lining to an otherwise stressful situation.

I visited my Mom and Dad for the first time at Merrill Gardens after they moved in 4 months ago.They had told me many things about it so it was nice to finally see the place. I am very pleased to see that Mom and Dad are in such a place and know that they are getting great meals and have others watching over them. I am close to retirement myself and hope that I can find a place as great as they are living in now. Great staff and great facilities. Great Christmas dinner that we had. Fantastic exercise program. Keep it up there guys.

My son found Merrill Gardens Hillsboro and we decided to give it a try. I couldn't be happier with that decision. Its been 5 1/2 months and it just keeps getting better. The staff is so thoughtful and truly seem to have my best interest in mind. The activities are fun and seems like there is always something going on. The food is great and I can eat whenever I please from 7am to 7pm. I'm close to my son now so he comes and visits almost every day. I love it here at Merrill Gardens Hillsboro. Great staff, Great residents, Great community they have developed.

Merrill Gardens has been an incredible blessing for my in-laws. The care team has supported them with kindness, patience, and professionalism through aging changes and a few medical challenges, and we’re deeply grateful for the way they’ve continued to thrive in this community. The meals, daily support, and welcoming environment have given our family such peace of mind. But what stands out the most is how they treat our whole family. Our grandchildren are always greeted with warmth and love the moment we walk through the door. Staff members remember their names, engage with them, and make them feel like they’re part of the Merrill Gardens family too. The entire community feels safe, joyful, and truly invested in the wellbeing of its residents. We couldn’t be more appreciative of the care and compassion shown to our loved ones. Highly recommend Merrill Gardens to any family looking for a place where both residents and visitors are genuinely cared for.

Merrill Gardens is a delightful place for retired seniors, the staff are friendly and helpful. Dining is restaurant style and the staff will take your order and serve you. Amenities are plentiful, one of my favorites is the sky lounge. Residents are able to reserve this for different functions. We just had a birthday party for my 92 year old grandmother and she loved it. I would highly recommend that anyone interested in either moving into a retirement community or placing a loved one into a senior home to schedule a tour.
