MERRILL GARDENS AT WOODSTOCK

My mother-in-law lived at this Merrill Gardens for almost two years, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the care she received. From day one, the staff treated her with compassion, patience, and genuine respect. They took the time to get to know her personality, her routines, and what made her feel comfortable and safe. The caregivers were consistently attentive and kind, and they communicated with our family regularly, so we always felt informed and involved. The activities team did an amazing job keeping residents engaged with meaningful programs – everything from music sessions to crafts to daily social interactions. The facility itself was always clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed for residents with memory challenges. I always felt at ease knowing my mother-in-law was in an environment that supported her needs and honored her dignity. I am truly grateful for the dedication and heart of every staff member who cared for her. This community made a difficult journey so much easier, and I would confidently recommend it to any family looking for high-quality, compassionate memory care.

My Mom has been at Merrill Gardens for over 4 years now, and it is a true blessing for our family. The staff is exceptional and very caring. The anytime dinning from 7 to 7 has been wonderful for my Mom and we do not know another place in the area that does the same. The Activities Director is fantastic and has a great program for the residents. Mom really enjoys herself and she never in her room. She enjoys all the entertainment. Merrill Gardens is an Awesome place with an Awesome Staff.

My mother has been living at Merrill Gardens for over three years, and I can honestly say it’s been a blessing. From our very first visit, both the staff and residents made us feel genuinely welcome. The environment is relaxed and inviting, with clean, modern spaces and a great variety of activities. Recently, my mother transitioned from Assisted Living to Memory Care (Garden House), and while that shift was emotionally tough, the staff made it so much easier. Their compassion, attentiveness, and respect for her as an individual have been incredible. Knowing she’s in a place where people truly care has given me peace of mind.

This is the absolute best senior living community in the Woodstock metro Atlanta area. My mother has been a resident for 7 months in Garden House which is the specialized memory care at Merrill Gardens. My mom’s caregivers are thoroughly trained and experienced with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Everyone treats the residents with care and compassion. Unlike many other communities where dementia and Alzheimer’s residents are not treated with the dignity and respect deserved, MG staff and other residents include and give choices to all residents. Garden House is a smaller community within Merrill Gardens that allows my mom to feel independent and make choices about her daily routine, but in a safe environment. The daily dining experience allows her to be with other residents for socialization. The meals are excellent. She receives fresh fruit and vegetables daily which I have found is rare in other communities. They offer a three course meal with homemade desserts. The dining staff does food demonstrations which my mom really enjoys. The homemade strawberry shortcake is her favorite. I would highly recommend this community for anyone seeking independent, assisted or memory care in Woodstock. It has been a blessing to my family. Thank you Merrill Gardens!! Update* 10/28/2025 My mother is still enjoying Merrill Gardens. She has the same caregivers that know her routine. There has been no turnover in staffing which has been such a blessing. The community did their own Alzheimer’s walk this past weekend. It was so nice to see so many participating from both the assisted living and memory care. The cleanliness of the community is amazing. Still five stars!!!

Love Merrill Gardens. All the staff are super nice and helpful. Feels more like a neighborhood. Everyone treats you like family. Anytime dining is great. Rooms are cozy and perfect whether you are in assisted living or memory care. Would recommend Merrill Gardens to anyone looking for senior options. Wonderful environment 🙏❤️
