We are so happy with the care my mother in law has been receiving at Middlefield Oaks. Tracey and Tory worked wonders in getting her apartment ready on short notice, thank you. My mother in law is happy, socializing and getting great care. The apartment and closets are huge! We couldn’t be happier! Thanks again!

Middlefield appears to be a well organized and professional operation, however, behind the scenes is a very different story. Money is obviously their top priority. The staff is friendly enough, but the care provided is far less than adequate. All the fees and rent continues to increase while the level of care decreases. Rooms are not being cleaned properly or at all, there is never a maintenance person when needed, the washers and dryers are nearly all inoperable, the gas fireplace in the front sitting room has been inoperable for at least a year, and the food is so tasteless and cold that I have to bring food in after paying for all these services to be provided as well as paying an outside caregiver to come in once a week and clean and try to do laundry. I feel bad for the staff as I believe they are doing their best with the limited resources they are given. I will be filing a detailed report with the Oregon Dept. of Human Services with what I have observed and what other residents are reporting. If these issues can not be resolved, I will be forced to seek alternatives.

Moved my parents there in the beginning of January 2025. Everything was great. Food was served hot and staff was helpful and friendly . Now 8 months later, staff is still great but food is horrible. The last few months it has been served cold and over cooked. Now with a covid outbreak, they are served meals in their room. Always cold. A handful of times, meals were never brought to them. About a quarter of the time be they are so bad, they have to throw the food away. They are now having to purchase food that they can heat in the microwave from local market for many of the meals. For the monthly fee we pay, those meals should always be hot and fresh. Management needs to take action to correct this, but so far has dis regarded complaints
