I would highly recommend this facility to anyone. I’ve had the pleasure of working with the administrator for years. She is absolutely amazing. She truly cares about each and every resident. She always goes above and beyond for everyone. You can trust your loved one will be in great hands!

Watching my grandmother’s memory decline was one of the hardest things my family has ever gone through. When it became clear that she needed more specialized care, we visited several memory care facilities. The staff here is not only professional but also incredibly compassionate. They took the time to really get to know my grandmother—her routines, her preferences, and even the little things that make her smile. They didn’t just see her diagnosis—they saw her. Every time I visit, I’m greeted warmly, and I can tell that the residents are treated like family. It’s never easy to place a loved one in memory care, but Morningside House has truly been a blessing. I sleep better at night knowing my grandma is safe, cared for, and surrounded by people who care.

Morningside has been nothing short of amazing. The staff is incredibly compassionate, attentive, and patient—they truly go above and beyond every single day. You can tell they genuinely care about the people here, and that kind of dedication makes all the difference. The environment is warm and welcoming—it looks and feels like a real home, not a sterile facility. Everything is always spotless and well-kept, and there’s a calm, peaceful atmosphere throughout. It’s the perfect balance of professionalism and comfort. We feel so grateful to have found a place where our loved one is not only safe, but truly cared for and respected. Highly recommend to any family looking for quality memory care.

We have been part of the Poet’s Walk family for two months now and are very happy to have found it. My sister and I were quite concerned with how our mother would react to being moved from her home into a memory facility. She had a very set routine at home and had quiet days without much interaction with others. Well the move could not have gone any better! On the first day most staff members came by her room to introduce themselves and to welcome her. They even gave her welcoming gifts! A few staff were then assigned to her for the first week to provide her with some familiar faces regularly and to ensure she was adjusting well. After the first week I was given an update that “your mother is not just adjusting well, she is thriving!” I saw for myself how true this was. So many activities and social events are offered at Poet’s Walk daily. At first my mother needed some encouragement to attend but after the first few days she began to seek activities out on her own. She now attends almost every activity and is rarely in her own room. Even between activities she often prefers just hanging out on Main Street with the other residents and socializing. My mom is happier now and more involved in life then she was at home. This has eased our concerns and makes us very happy to see her so happy. Thank you Poet’s Walk staff for the wonderful work that you do taking care of our mother and for the nurturing environment you provide!

Having to place a loved one in Memory Care is the toughest decisions one has to make. Being the only family member, that is, no one else to assist in caring for my wife, no kids, makes it even that much more difficult after 30 years of marriage, combined with recent events, has made it even more of a challenge. My wife has been at Poets Walk for about 1 1/2 years now. I visited daily, up until 2 months ago of course, and was able to observe first hand the caring attitude, cleanliness, well trained staff in working with those with dementia. I feel good about my choice of placing her there, and highly recommend it. The food is great. Activities, everything to keep my loved one occupied especially during this time when I’m unable to spend 5/6 hours a day with her like I used to, makes me feel much better about it. It doesn’t get easier, nothing will, but you can count on the staff at Poets Walk to help set your mind at ease.
