POSTED BY KAY MOSTELLER My Mother has been at Morningside since November of 2023. She had lived in her own home by herself until then she was 98 when she moved in. We were really afraid she would be very unhappy. The staff went out of their way to make her feel at home and feel comfortable. They have been very kind to her. Anytime I have a question or issue it is quickly resolved. The residents are very friendly. The Director, Sammi Brooks, loves the residents and goes above and beyond to make them all feel loved. Great place for your loved one!

We visited several assisted living facilities when selecting a place for our Mother but Morningside was the only place that felt like home. Mom has been living there for a little over a year now and is very happy. She especially loves the activities and the fact that the staff is both kind and helpful. Our family is very thankful to have found such a safe, professional and welcoming place for our Mom.

Morningside is an amazing assisted living, it feels like home for the residents as well their families. The caregivers are incredible and are more like family than employees. Sammi and her entire team are the best, they are all incredible with our Senior! She loves her new apartment and her new family!

My in-laws had lived in Birmingham their whole lives, but due to declining health had to be moved closer to family. We visited all the assisted living facilities in Decatur, and determined that Morningside was, without a doubt the right choice for them. The entire staff, Sandy, Gloria, Dee, Sharon, Carolyn and all the nurses are compassionate and kind to the residents and truly love and care for them. My in-laws said it was the "best move of their lives". Mom has passed away, but Pop still is a resident at Morningside and loves the activities, entertainment they provide and his meals. One of our favorite things is "Family Night" that we have where all of his family can come eat with him and be entertained in an atmosphere like a party...dining hall and tables decorated festively according to the theme of the night. It is a wonderful place for your loved ones...we've never had one complaint about their care or services for my in-laws. The staff is always available to talk with you, help with any concerns we might have about our resident, and everything there is done with sincere desires to make it the very best home for their residents where families can feel sure that they will have "sweet dreams" about their experiences there! We highly recommend Morningside to anyone looking for an assisted living facility for a family member. We sincerely appreciate each and every one of the staff there. They help us to have such peace of mind.
