We visited The Legacy of Lexington and I can’t stop thinking about it. On our walk through day I was nervous about what I was going to see. We all have heard about the nightmare places so I had my list and was ready to take notes. As I was walking in thinking ok here we go stay focused. The Lady at the front desk was so nice and made you feel welcomed. Then Christi came to get us to take us on our tour. Right off I noticed the floors are clean the furniture wasn’t soiled and the facility had a nice clean smell. Several residents walked through as we are going over the paperwork and they seemed happy. They stopped to talked to Christi and she knew everyone by name. On our walk around I loved the courtyard and that they had a bunny and turtle live there for them to see and take care of. We walked up to the little puzzle library area and the staff was laughing and talking to the residents! Just around the corner the bingo game was finishing up and they showed us the socks they won and was laughing together having fun. I was so surprised that the staff and residents were interacting together so naturally. In the lounge residents were together watching tv and they held up there hands and said hello. I love the food cart they have out after meals in case someone gets hungry. The calendar was packed with activities and events. The rooms are nice size and very clean, great safety features. This was the first place we visited and no where else came close. I know this is a long review and I tried to keep it short but this is such a true hidden gem it’s hard not to keep going on. One last thing it’s a small community and I love that. It’s seem like a home and I think they have something very special there! Christi and the staff really set the bar high and I haven’t found anywhere that comes close!

I was helping a dear friend look for assisted living. We had visited eight other communities in the area and then we stopped at Legacy of Lexington. It was unlike any of the other communities we had visited. It was light and bright and clean and welcoming! The staff and residents really seem to enjoy working and living here. We were able to meet several of the residents and staff and Christi answered every question we had. We learned all about the different floor plans, opportunities for activities and outings, and services offered. We were able to visit with the chef and ask questions about the menu and he even gifted us with some freshly baked cookies! My friend was so impressed that he and his wife will be moving to Legacy of Lexington very soon. We look forward to visiting them and getting to know the rest of the residents!

We met with Christi Steagall on January 12 for a tour of the community and to learn about the services, prices, and the accommodations offered. Christi was extremely knowledgeable about all the operations of the community and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We were also able to meet some of the residents and briefly hear from them about their feelings about the community. Everything was clean, warm, well maintained and active with residents busy with the many activities available to them.

Staff is wonderful! Huge shout out to Tara and Tiff! Cannot say enough good things about the team at Legacy! My mother has been there for almost eight months and it has been a great experience! Tara is always super-helpful and constantly goes above and beyond to take care of the residents. Great attitude and a genuinely caring approach in everything she does. Tiff is marvelous! Super competent and outstanding in keeping the family informed when something is going on with their loved one. Her thorough follow up on issues and professional approach is much appreciated! I would HIGHLY recommend this facility to anyone needing assisted living for their family member!

While assisting my elderly neighbors seek assisted living options, I have received nothing but good vibes from this facility and all of the people involved. The community projects a welcoming and concerned friendly feel, like home. I only wish my neighbors had chosen to make the move rather than continue to struggle on their own.
