Morning Star is a truly quality senior living memory loss community. It was not an easy decision to move our mother but the human touch that I have witnessed has made all the difference. I want to move here! It is beautiful; clean; great food, lots of great activities which encompass every activity level. My mom particularly enjoys the many music concerts. This is a picture of my mom and one of my sisters enjoying a concert by a lovely harpist playing such tunes as Canon in D and Danny's Boy that brought many to tears and to singing along! What Spontaneous Joy! I'm very impressed with the staff. No relationship is easy, but the staff at Morning Star truly meet people where they're at, and look out for their residents and each other. Well Done! Lots of peace of mind here as I am out of town and am only able to visit every other month or so.

MorningStar at Englefield Green is far and away the best memory care facility in the Treasure Valley! Dad was in another place earlier in the year. We looked for a new place and toured what seemed to be just about every memory care facility in the Boise area. Our very first experience was when we stopped by and asked for a tour. They were very welcoming and not "salesy." Everyone - from executive director and staff through residents - were smiling and happy. It just felt like a better place and gave us a good vibe. The facility is very well designed. The hallways loop, so those residents who walk a lot can always find their rooms. It has bright colors, lots of natural light through their many windows, and a very homey feel. The activities keep life interesting for the residents. This is very important for folks who otherwise feel trapped in a secure facility. They do scenic drives to get outside, they do different crafts and puzzles, and they have several different movies on a state-of-the-art entertainment system, among other things. There is even a nice pool table that residents, staff, and family like to use. The food is outstanding. Enough said. They are always quick to consider the resident's comfort, yet they don't stop there. My family and I had visited my dad on occasion when, out of nowhere, one of the caregivers would bring a treat, a refreshing drink, or even lunch or dinner for us! The absolute best part of MorningStar at Englefield Green is their approach to caring for those with neurological disorders. My Dad's Lewy Body Dementia often led to difficult, aggressive behaviors. The care staff had the training and the wherewithal to re-approach with various non-physical interventions to accomplish their cares. This training should be mandatory for all assisted living and memory care facilities. It also helps that MorningStar has hired quality people who believe in what they do. This facility opened in November 2017. My dad passed away yesterday. I simply cannot imagine my Dad's last days being in any other location. These people are filled with love and it translates directly to how they care for their residents.
