Morningstar Of Idaho Falls

I had decided not to do a review after an incident I had at Morningstar this last July because I had hoped it was just a fluke, but recent events have encouraged me to write a review. I do not have a loved one at Morningstar however my daughter was working there and I needed to drop off her keys to her. I walk in the front doors around 9, maybe 9:30pm. No one was at the front so I thought I would just wait. There was a beeping/alarm going off at the front. I sat in one of the chairs for about 5 minutes waiting. That was when an elderly gentleman who lived there came rushing to the front trying to find someone because he said his friend was having a heart attack. He could not find anyone and I got up to try and help as well. I walked all around the front, all the office doors were open but no one was in sight. I tried looking in the halls but they were empty. Finally I called my daughter and told her the situation. She said that she was not on that side of the center (apparently there is an independent living side and a care provider side) but that she would come over and see what was going on. The gentleman thankfully was not having a heart attack but did ask for 911 to be called. She called and the paramedic/firefighters showed up very quickly. This is finally when the front lady showed up and was confused of what was happening. She realized she never received the alert notice and it had been going off for OVER 40 MINUTES. She did seem apologetic but I was very shocked and knew right then I would never be putting my parents at Morningstar. Again I didn't want to cause problems so I didn't write a review. Unfortunately since then I learned that some of the management members are doing illegal things. I cannot elaborate due to legal reasons. I am very happy to see so many positive reviews and I really do hope that all that live at Morningstar are happy and being treated well.

The care given to my mother-in-law was very good overall. She lived there for nine months before going to her permanent home of heaven, with her best friend and Savior, Jesus. The only complaint I have is that at times it seemed like she didn’t get care when she needed it; and I believe that was due to the lack of enough help. But, for the most part, the staff showed compassion and loved her. Nicole was great. Barbara truly cared. Mom loved attending the Bible studies. Hospice did a fantastic job. The chaplain Danny was very nice. The other thing I liked about MorningStar-it smelled clean! I recommend this facility and believe the staff tries very hard to love, serve, and give to the residents. Mom appreciated all she received. Love you mommacita!

MorningStar Memory care is the best place I could have selected for my mothers care. MorningStar has been amazing for the last 1.5 years with my mother who suffers from dementia. They go above and beyond to see to her daily needs. I have an amazing relationship with the Nicole and her staff and can't imagine anywhere else for my mothers happiness.

My father has been a resident in the Reflections area of MorningStar for the past 6 months. Moving an elderly parent from their familiar surroundings is very difficult. My father was welcomed with love, compassion and excellent care from the staff. The staff at Reflections have ALWAYS been kind, patient, loving, helpful and cheerful with all of the residents and their families. I have been so impressed with their positive attitudes in all situations. They also provide great activities, entertainment and outings with their focus on the personal interests of the residents. The environment at MorningStar is clean, safe and inviting. Every day I am so grateful for the loving care given to my father by the wonderful staff at Morningstar.

My 97 yr old mother said she would never go into a senior care living facility. 4 months later in the care of Morning Star she says these people are great. She loves them and they love her. I I'm in constant communication with my mother and the Morning Star staff. The staff is very responsive and takes care of all my mother's needs, both physically and emotionally. I have evaluated most sr care facilities in SE Idaho and rank Morning Star right at the top. Mom's visitors feel the same way. Morning Star has approx 4 different levels of care and I would recommend that anyone seeking Sr living facility to take a close look.
