Mt Pleasant Alternative Care

We brought our Mom to Mt Pleasant feeling it might be a good fit. Unfortunately, the lack of care has us moving out immediately . Our experience has been heartbreaking. Things and people are not as nice as they seem. They used only 24 adult undergarments in a 38 day period. She was supposed to get 2 a day. I brought this to their attention 3 times in a few weeks time frame. They never made any attempt to do it properly. Her clothes in her closet were filthy. She is supposed to get assistance with dressing. We had to pull her out even though she had to pay the month. Plus lost deposits for what? I have no idea. The place is dirty and walls need new paint. No accountability. A lot of excuses and some lies. The owner does not care. I do believe in isolated instances. I honestly am not being hateful towards anyone. It is strictly my opinion and our experience.

While everyone is entitled to their opinion, I believe this review presents an unfair and highly one-sided account of an isolated experience. It does not reflect the consistent level of care that many families, including my own, have experienced at Mt. Pleasant Alternative Care. My mother has been a resident at Mt. Pleasant for the past four years, and during that time I have witnessed compassionate, respectful, and attentive care from the owner and staff. I also know other families whose loved ones reside there, and they share the same positive experience. Based on what I have personally observed, I can confidently say that Mt. Pleasant is one of the finest personal care homes for seniors in Georgia. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and operates with genuine compassion. The caregivers treat residents with dignity and kindness, and they work diligently to meet each resident's individual needs. The owners and staff strive to create a loving, family-oriented environment where residents are respected and cared for. No care facility is perfect, and isolated concerns can occur anywhere. However, it is important to distinguish between a single negative experience and the overall quality of care provided over many years. My family's experience has consistently been one of professionalism, integrity, and genuine concern for the well-being of every resident. I encourage anyone considering Mt. Pleasant Alternative Care to visit the facility personally, meet the staff, speak with residents' families, and form their own conclusions based on firsthand observation rather than relying solely on one review. In my experience, the care provided speaks for itself.
