There is room for improvement but all in all, my grandma was safe and comfortable here. We had a few incidents.. one dangerous one that could have ben prevented with adequate communication and proper noting from nurses. With as many nursing homes as she has been in, losing clothes is quite common in nursing homes. Each nursing home always recommends writing their last name inside with a permanent marker. The food was so, so. The rooms were better than most nursing homes we had been to. There is absolutely no smell walking in to this place. At meal times you will smell food but there is no urine or feces smell whatsoever. This was extremely important to us as we visited nursing homes that had soiled clothes stacks up on patients tables that sat for hours. Mulberry Health is one of the cleanest nursing homes I have ever been to. At the end of the day, I knew my grandma was taken care of by nurses and staff that truly cared for her well being. I mean, one of the staff went to the store across the street to buy her hair clips and headband to keep her hair out of her face. I recommend giving this place a shot, they will exceed your expectations.

I asked the woman in the administration office if there was anyone at front desk because I was told I could get a meal if I was family member of resident. She said she usually comes later. It was already past 8 am. She said she'd get me a meal. She was nice about and I did get a meal. When I was done with meal the administration lady came to get my plate. She said from now on wait until after the desk is open at 8. At this point it was about 9am. After this the maintenance guy walked passed me when passing her office to my family members room. Also when I picked my family member up the cook walked by me every time I passed I think her name is Chloe from reading other reviews she's very passive aggressive. I'd gladly pay for a meal or buy something from a vending machine. There's no reason that woman at front desk can't be on time every day. She was there an hour or more late every time I was visiting. There's no place to buy food in Mulberry either.

This facility is the absolute best. It is clean, it is updated, and the most important part, the staff. I am a SW and have worked in long term care and complex care and I will always refer to them. I do not know anyone that works there, but I have been to the facility and had many pts I have worked with referred there for long term care and rehab. It is my number 1 recommendation. The staff is excellent, the response to care is excellent. The rehab is excellent. I have not had one person complain ever in the 10 yrs I have been referring to them. They retain staff. That speaks volumes. It doesn't matter if someone is there through Medicare or Medicaid, the treatment of the residents is gold. If I had to go to a nursing facility, I would choose Mulberry. I had the pleasure of meeting Social Services Liz Overholter and the Director of Nursing Ashtyn Koch today. The person I referred there is receiving excellent care and has expressed this sentiment to me as well. I will continue to refer patients to this facility.

My grandmother is at Mulberry health, and we went for a visit today. I noticed that Ashley Miller was bopping around the place very energetic, kind, and positive. She was greeting residents with a smile and a cheery voice. What a great comfort, that my grandmother is in the care of people like Ashley. She is such a positive, shining light. The residents and Mulberry Health are all lucky to have her.

I had to go into a lot of extended care facilities for my old job, and this is by far the most pleasant in the area. The residents always seem generally happy and the staff appear very satisfied with their employment. A benchmark that I would commonly use to determine the quality of facility is the smell while walking down the halls. Without getting into too much detail, if you have been in a lesser quality facility you know what I am talking about. This place always smelled great, especially when their kitchen staff was whipping up what looked like some awesome food. Didn't expect the quality of standards in such a small town!
