MULLICA GARDENS ASSISTED LIVING (NJ08A009)

We had the opportunity to volunteer at Mullica Garden Assisted Living. We were so amazed at how well the staff treated us. We had so much fun interacting with the residents and they appeared to be happy and well taken care of. The community is nice and clean. Great place to volunteer!

I have a loved one in this community, and each time I visit, he is genuinely happy and consistently speaks very highly of the staff. The facility is always clean, well maintained and free of any unpleasant odors.

My loved one is constantly complaining about the very poor quality of the food offered on top of having trouble adjusting to AL. I am very concerned and heart broken by this. No one answers phone calls or emails in response to any issues as well. I was told no special diets are offered by the nurse. I know other residents are complaining to management and staff to deaf ears which is awful and neglectful especially since they are at the end of their lives. Do better especially for what it costs. It's not like they are young enough to prepare their own foods!

I have a family member in this facility. She tells me that they never get vegetables with their dinners. The night before last, all they served for dinner was a very small portion of chocolate pudding. They never serve salad with the so-called dinners that are usually something like grilled cheese sandwiches. They are not getting well rounded diets. I have called the place at least 5, or more times. No one answers, and when I leave messages, they never call back. They are definitely not being feed properly. They never get fruit. They don’t have condiments on the tables such as salt, pepper, cream for their coffee which, by the way, is usually served cold. I think they need to get on the ball before someone calls the department of health and human services. This is neglect and abuse of the elderly. They need well rounded diets.

Brand new facility, very nice! The staff is excellent and very accommodating.
