Even with the benefit of hindsight I would have chosen no where else when my mom needed full time care. Making the decision to move her to full time care, was hard, however I would have made it sooner had I realized how well she was going to be taken care of. I was always impressed with how personal and caring the staff was with my mom. One night my mom called me, mad, it was something the dementia made a frequent emotion for her. I was trying to calm her over the phone to no avail. One of the staff walked by and heard her and came in the room. I told mom she had someone there to help her, I was going to go, and we said good by. She put the phone down but forgot to hang it up. This was my chance to see how my mom was treated when she was being difficult and I wasn't around. The lady said, "Miss Jean, you didn't get your root beer float for dessert with dinner, let's go down and get you your float". This completely distracted my mom from being so upset and off they went to get a float. Wow.... That was the big story I will always remember, but there was not a time I was there that I didn't observe everyone there treating the residence with kindness, respect, and love. If you have to have your loved one in full time care, Josh that runs New Haven and his team would be a fabulous choice. I wish in hindsight I had moved mom there sooner honestly, only because they simply had the skills and training to give her better care than I was able to at home, and they treated everyone there like their aunt or grandma. Moms been gone a year now, and again- even with the benefit of hindsight, I wouldn't have chosen anywhere else to take care of her in her sunset, once I couldn't, than New Haven. Life long thankfulness and gratitude for Josh and his team...

I dreaded putting my wife in an assisted living home, but I ended up putting her in New Haven,Cedar Springs, MI, home. I found the staff to be very compassionate and caring towards all the residents that were in the home. I think the management does a good job in keeping the place clean and a positive attitude for not just the staff but also the residence. I would recommend if you have a need for this type of assistance, New Haven would be a good Place to checkout. They were all very nice in helping me through an extremely difficult time.

This is an awesome place for your loved ones that may need long or short time care. All involved are very caring and respectful to all their patients no matter what there needs. Great nice homie atmosphere. Very good caring people , Starting with Josh the administrator and all the employees as well. I'm so fortunate to have been able to place my mother there that has dementia. Her care has been phenomenal and she has been there going on four months. They have cookouts and have Christian singers every Thursday which I and my mother both enjoy very much. Can't say enough good things about New Haven definitely not your average nursing home. Thank you all. God Bless You!!!

Transitioning our granny into care was a big step and we were understandably nervous. But the staff at New Haven Assisted living has been amazing—always available, supportive, and patient. Seeing her settle in so comfortably has been a huge relief.
